I saw this movie on TV in the late 1990s/early 2000s.

It's a Bonnie and Clyde-style movie about two lovers on the run from the law.

I distinctly remember a scene early in the movie where they are robbing a big store (like a supermarket or a department store) and the girlfriend sees a large teddy bear on the top shelf of display and asks her boyfriend to steal it for her.

At the end of the movie, they are being chased by cops at night, and the chase ends at a beach or somewhere else by the water, where one of them ends up getting shot.
