Hello all…. Just asking for some advice regarding my LO.

She has just turned 5 months old, and has previously been sleeping through 12 hours per night from 10 weeks old until recently……

She caught a nasty virus over a week ago and thank god is almost over it, however since then her sleeping has completely changed. She is now waking for night feeds and is stirring every hour or so in her bassinet, where we have to resettle her back to sleep. It is EXHAUSTING.

First time Mum and I’m just looking for some insight on why this is and if this happened to your LO? If so, how long did it last for? I’m absolutely gutted as we had sleep nailed to a tee and now it’s all over the place, even worse th

For context, our 20 week old daughter has been sleeping through since about 10 weeks, however I have not…. She tosses and turns in the night, has stages of bad wind, and sometimes snorts or snores. At the moment her congestion is quite heavy in the night and her breathing sounds very nasally… but she doesn’t wake up and sleeps through it all. I am being woken up constantly, I’m probably only getting 4 hours of broken sleep per night which is criminal considering she is sleeping 10/11 hours.

People keep saying it’s time she goes in her nursery so that I can sleep, but I’m still very conscious of the 6 month SIDs sleeping guidance. We have a camera monitor set up already in her nursery as she

As the title suggests, post-pregnancy and post-HG I’ve suddenly started to get nauseous on day 1 and 2 of my menstrual cycle. Never happened previously. Has anybody else found this?

Just a walking reminder every month of the horror I endured my whole pregnancy 😭

As the title suggests - please can I have some advice on how to implement an earlier bed time routine for our 4 month whilst adhering to SIDS guidance? (Impossible almost….)

For context, she can’t sleep in a crib with us downstairs as we have two barking dogs who wake her up, so she can only sleep undisturbed upstairs. We have camera monitors, a next to me, and a cot in her nursery. We would like to start putting her down at 8pm ish, but unsure on how to do this? Do we take it in turns to go up with her at that time as well, or do we leave her for a couple of hours alone with a video monitor set up? At the moment she sleeps in the next to me at night time, and in her cot for daytime naps (w

Hi ladies - a bit of a sensitive one here but I believe it is an issue that is not talked about enough pre-baby.

Just to say, I adore my little baby girl more than anything and I couldn’t imagine life without her.. she’s a dream and my little bestie.

However, I’ve found the hardest part about having a baby and being on maternity leave is the effect it has on your relationship with the father. As a mother, everything about your life completely changes. Freedom, independence, time for self-care, even time to have a shower for longer than 10 seconds.. everything that you once knew about life before becoming a mother has gone, and we have to adapt to this new life. But what I’m really struggli

How do you manage your partner waking your baby up in the night due to heavy breathing and snoring?! Since I’m the one doing night feeds this is incredibly frustrating and I actually hate him during the night!!

My baby could be sound asleep then suddenly a huge gasp or snore comes from hubby and boom she’s awake, stirring and may realise she’s ready for a feed!

My main anxiety as a new Mum has been around overheating and SIDS and quite frankly it’s driving me insane.

Our bedroom stays fairly consistent at around 21 degrees almost every night. I’ve tried my baby in all sorts since the beginning as I’m ultra paranoid about her overheating. Normally, I’ve had her in a babygro/sleepsuit with a 2.5 tog love to dream bag and she’s been sleeping through rarely stirring. But I had a sudden anxiety that she may be too hot, so the last 2 nights I’ve followed the guidance for a 21 degree room and swapped to a 1.5 tog bag instead. Since the switch, she’s been restless in the night and seems to be stirring a lot more than usual. Could she now be too cold?! Th

Hi Warriors! I just wanted to say I am 3 months post-partum, with a beautiful perfect little 3 month old daughter. My 9 months of pregnancy was without a doubt the most difficult period of my life so far, as I had constant 24/7 nausea and vomiting the whole way through.

For those of you knee deep in the trenches at the moment this one is for you…. I myself considered termination in the beginning, I felt so low every single day, I felt so ill all day every single day, and I couldn’t believe I made it through 9 months… BUT I promise you it’s SO WORTH IT. I love my baby girl so much and couldn’t imagine life without her.

Stay strong, know that the end of your pregnancy will come and time wi

Night Feeds at Weekends

Infant 2-12 Months

Hey everyone! LO is 10 weeks old, I am on maternity leave and husband works full-time running his own business (mostly from home).

I have been doing all of the middle of the night feeds for our baby. The problem is, even if it’s a straight forward 45 min feed and she goes down no problem, it still takes me HOURS to drift back off. By which time LO is waking up soon for her first morning feed.

So on average I am getting 5 hours broken I would say, where as hubby there lying next to me snoring is getting 8 hours solid sleep every single night and I can’t help but resent him for it. I hate this old fashioned attitude of the partner having solid sleeps because they work. I would MUCH rather

Just want some advice on how you handle ‘baby conflict’ with your partner? We have a beautiful 3 week old daughter, and as to be expected we do things slightly differently that one or the other may disagree with. When I politely tell my husband ‘it might be better if you try it this way’ he really gets the hump. Or if he’s unhappy about the way I do something he gets stressed about it and starts getting frustrated, and ‘can’t understand’ why I would do things a certain way.

In a nut shell, we are both quite stubborn and both control freaks so it becomes difficult when we disagree when it comes to newborn related things.

Any advice on how I can handle this going forward without losing my

Hello ladies. Just after some reassurance and advice. I’ve had a C section and currently 10 days PP. My husband has been an absolute godsend during my recovery - literally taking over everything whilst I’ve been enjoying baby snuggles and resting. However, I’m now getting anxious about him going back to work as I’ve realised I’ve hardly done any of the basics like nappy changes, outfit changes, feeding etc… and suddenly feel very overwhelmed like ‘I don’t know what I’m doing’ feeling. My pain is starting to reduce and I’m able to walk around the house a bit more, so I’m hoping in another week I will be a bit more confident but it’s starting to worry me.

Does anybody else feel like that?! R

Does anybody else agree that boundaries and expectations from visitors is the hardest part of having a newborn? Me and my husband discussed visitors before I gave birth and we agreed that only immediate family would visit for the first week or two, then after this we would open it up to extended family and close friends.

As it happens I am only 10 days PP and we’ve had every Tom, Dick and Harry round. It’s so overwhelming and I can’t wait for the visiting to stop! Anybody else in the same boat?!

C Section Recovery Timeline

Postpartum Recovery

Hey Ladies - how long on average did it take you to recover from your C section to the point where you could walk fine, get out of bed fine, care for your baby fine with no pain?

I am on day 10 and still in pain and cautious to get stuck in with my newborn as some positions like burping/changing still hurt/pull, and I am still walking very slowly around the house.

Thanks
