Sorry if this gets asked all of the time, I did quite a few searches but most guides seem to ignore the 3D or recommend brand new expensive laser projectors.

Basically, my trusty old Samsung is suddenly being quite dramatic in showing it's age, I know that replacing with another TV of the same age is a waste of time so I'm just getting a new TV on whatever deals are knocking about, and I want a projector, ideally short throw but I'm open, to cover me for 3D. I was already considering one for Laserdiscs/VHS/retro gaming so I guess there's no excuses now.

I know that there are deals to be found on FB Marketplace and whathaveyou, I just wanted to check which models I should really be searchin

It seems that once a decade I try to migrate to Linux, run into a huge wall and bail back to windows. I was about to post about a completely different issue which I think I have resolved but immediately discovered this.

I followed the below guide to try to add audio support for Kodi, however since launching Kodi for the first time following this, I now only have a "Dummy Output" in sound and get no audio except with Kodi itself. I have tried every fix that I can find but nothing is helping. I have even deleted the files created from this guide but still Kodi works but nothing else does.

Any ideas before I give up on Linux again?

Hey folks, So I picked up a cheap XE1 which was on an old troublesome firmware with the freezing on boot/read issues. The player was finicky but ultimately did work. I updated to 2.5 from the ISOs on archive.org but now my TV just shows an unsupported resolution error. I have tried everything except switching to composite and can't get the picture back. I have gone through both the EUR and AUS versions of firmware and even tried moving up to 4.0 but no difference.

Anyone have any idea what to do? I have managed to work through the menus blindly to switch the resolution between all options but still nothing. I was hoping there were some service button combinations to force some magic to ha

So this is a weird one, I have been using Marantz Wizz.it on my old laptop, as Windows 11 doesn't support the remote control I am programming. There is next to no information online about this software, but it installed perfectly fine on all of my computers and runs fine.

Now, the old laptop that I was using has a dying hard drive, it refuses to clone due to CRC errors and so I clean installed windows on an SSD. I first tried Windows 7, which was era appropriate for the remote and software, and also Windows 10 which the setup was working on before l, but on both clean installs it is crashing after the splash screen. Hey folks, A bit of a long shot, now my old Harmony remote is no longer updateable, I took the plunge for an old RC9001 for a good price. The software manual is thankfully very helpful, but it seems the remote had some nice custom gallery designs that I can't extract from the remote. Before I spend hours making my own, does anyone happen to have some old files knocking around or know of a website that is still accessible with some? The Internet archive unfortunately isn't giving me anything but manuals

I have tried searching but couldn't find anything listing samples used on this album. Basically I am trying to find where the samples from 21:30 onwards in this song are from. I'm guessing it's a very old horror.
