Background info: Dad and I hail from the midwest. I moved here last fall, and Dad's flying down and renting a BMW 1250 for a 4-day weekend mid-May. I was originally planning on taking us north all the way to Sequoia National Park, trying to take the mountain highways like M-50, Caliente Creek etc to get there, but I don't want to flog him with a ton of technical miles with no option but to keep pushing forward. Planning it out, just the route planner says like 8 hours of twisties. Might be less if you're not putting along at 15mph in a crossover, but I don't know, I haven't ridden that area before. I don't mind the seat time, I ride almost every day and rode across the country, he is more of

Why is this food related? How is an 8 second clip of a woman saying yes to a man on one knee supposed to encourage me to think about paying some overworked, underpaid delivery driver to bring my lazy ass a chicken sandwich? Am I supposed to feel happy for this random couple I know nothing about? How about that stupid fuckin' violin in the background? Does that add more EMOTIONAL CHARGE so I can channel that FEEL GOOD energy into an association with uber fuckin eats? Does putting the same ad on EVERY video further reinforce this? Was this ad campaign even approved/created by humans or, just an algorithm? It's so idiotic it has to be AI-generated, right?

And yes, adblock exists for desktop.

I was the motorcyclist who failed to headcheck before making an abrupt right into the dealer. Great defensive driving from you, shame on me for not doing a better job, and you didn't even get mad. You're great, that's all.

Title. In the semi-near future I would like to make my XSR700 racier with a lower bar and some kind of rearset setup. I really like the rubber peg and built in feeler on Yamaha's OEM design, however, and aftermarket rearsets are all metal and some don't even fold. A search on forums showed that fitting aftermarket fz07 rearsets on the R7 did not work, but has anyone tried the reverse?

I researched this bike for a good while before buying it, and complaints across the whole Yamaha FZ07/09 and XSR700/900 range include the comfort level of the stock seat. My behind is one that is very much bone and very little flesh, so this was a concern for me, and I read/watched rave review after rave review of the Corbin seats, as their shape options appealed to me the most over the flat or ribbed OEM options. However, I've now put over 1000 miles on my Corbin, and I have to say I don't get it. It is WIDER, and there is more of a hump to hold you onto the bike during acceleration, but I swear the foam is made of crushed bricks. Or at least, that was what I swore, until I tried using my f

So, getting back into these, the time has come to treat myself to a lifting stand for ease of maintenance. Simple, right? Dad walked right into the store like 15 years ago and got himself an FMF stand, anything cyclegear or whoever sells on the floor should be good, right? Well, I just blew 70 bucks on a Trackside lifting stand and I hate it. The foot lever is extremely short and poorly designed for foot operation, the actual platform the bike sits on feels too narrow, and the base's legs are so skinny it feels like it'll dump the bike over if I look at it wrong. Unfortunately, I can't just buy a new FMF stand. Any recommendations here? Lifting is not a requirement, I just want something hig

Ok, so long story short my rear end is eating itself. It might be that "synthetic gear oil causes old seals to leak" thing, maybe I screwed up something when re-installing my driveshaft, either way the pinion seal went kaput and my diff's been flinging fluid out of itself. It started howling a week ago, quietly at first. I assumed it was the T5 being the T5 for a few weeks, but I hadn't had it at highway speeds to confirm. One trans flush later, I pulled the diff fill plug while I was at it and it's covered in the "silver paint" of death.

Now, on to the actual question. I have already converted this car to rear disks off of a 93 Cobra/equivalent, so I've kept the stock axle shafts. If I go

I just got an email from microsoft, if you do the 30 day trial thing before March they add another 3 months onto that. Worth a shot if you don't use it.
