I am hoping to relocate to Seattle in November this year when my lease ends but am struggling to find a job. It seems like remote jobs are limited and so competitive, I can hardly even get an interview with the thousands of applicants and I would say I have a pretty good resume (I work in Marketing). I can't get an interview for an in-office job in Seattle since I don't live there yet but can't move until I do find another job (my resume says I'm relocating). I owe my current apartment complex an answer if I'm renewing my lease or giving a 60 day notice by September 4. Any advice from anyone who has relocated to Seattle or a new state/city with my situation?

Celebrating 20 days of sobriety tonight with my favorite dinner and dessert. It’s amazing how much my mental and physical health has blossomed in just 20 days
I am looking to visit Chicago for a long weekend. I am looking to fly in on a Friday morning and leave on Sunday evening - do you think this is enough time? Any must sees? Anything overrated? I am looking to stay at Swissotel (does anyone recommend or have a different recommendation?) I am coming for the Christmas vibes and to explore Chicago (I have never been) so I am open to other hotel or location recommendations.
Is there a better way to get downtown from the airport than Uber? I see Blue Line is an option.
Specifically what are your thoughts on deploying to DC and more cities to come? I know you can't say much about Trump likely since you "report" under him. But genuinely curious, are these red flags to you? Do you support it? Would love the perspective.
Here is what happened:
(This was in April 2025) For my mom's 70th we surprised her with a family trip. Her only was to get dressed up and watch the Kentucky Derby somewhere. So we were waiting in line to the viewing party and my dad made a joke about a shooting that took place in their neighborhood earlier this year (no one was hurt, it ended up being two teen boys in an argument) he said "and to make it more scary, one was a black man" so I called him out on being racist. I initially said "I don't think I get the joke" (because he was saying it in a joking manner and everyone laughed). I eventually just told him that was a very racist remark and I didn't find it funny. Fast forward maybe 1

My friends boyfriend always says he's in the Air Force - which he is, he is in the reserves. Whenever I call it that he's in the reserves they both get a little upset, confused because that distinction feels like it should be called out?
I have my fantasy league draft with all my family on Aug 31 through yahoo. I’m just a girl, jk jk well kinda. I do follow football but have been out of the loop the last couple of seasons. I won’t know what pick I am until day of. There are 14 teams, would love any recommendations!
Also open to team name suggestions!

My 2 year old cat has thrown up after eating every time today. Twice this morning with his breakfast and just now with dinner. It appears to be his food, non chewed, and some saliva. He eats science hill for indoor 1-7 year olds. It’s not uncommon for him to throw up, he normally does like once every couple weeks. He’s been to the vet for it previously and they looked at everything and he was fine. Nothing has changed in his diet or life. He is still playing and drinking water. I did get some roses yesterday but those are supposed to be nontoxic to cats so I’m confused what may be causing this today.
I'm 31 years old and have never been in a serious relationship that I could see myself being with that person long term. I really want kids, I want 2-4 but I'm getting older. I know it's all still possible I think I'm just looking for reassurance that I still have time to find my person and have a family. 4 may be a stretch but 2 still seems feasible.
