The bowl light doesn’t make sense on the S7A. I have it on and it just illuminates for a few seconds when the lid opens. What’s the point of that? Wouldn’t it make more sense to have it on like the soft light on the side when it detects it’s in use?

Will our kids mow?

Father's Day

Thinking about what I did as a teen, mowing the lawn was a weekly chore that I had to do. I didn’t mind it, was fun driving it around. I do wonder when the next generation grows up, will they ever mow? Or will a bunch of lawn robots be doing it. Guess we’ll find out in a decade.

Has anyone seen an issue where the X430 won’t to to a zone? It would start to go, and immediately then default back to going home to charger. Tried multiple times. This was at night, for a sidewalk strip, so is it possible it can’t see well enough so refuses to go at night?

Set up my X430 using network RTK in the backyard and it went fine. When it mows in the front yard, it loses signal. I plugged in the GNSS antenna and it seemed to get signal again even though on the app it’s still using network RTK.

Did the GNSS antenna help or just coincidence that signal improved? Should I continue with network RTK or switch everything to local RTK?

Don’t plan to open the X4 until it’s warmer. Does it matter if the box is vertical vs flat on the ground? There are no “this side up” warnings so assume it’s fine, but if someone from Segway can confirm

Touredge PM97 or upgrade?

Equipment Discussion

Newbie to golf and have been doing to the range and will take some lessons in Spring. Have a set of PM97s that were given to me but wondering if I pick up a set of Edges at Costco and if that would be better to learn on?

Thanks

Just making sure it’s the logic board and not anything I’m missing before replacing the opener tomorrow.

Garage door opener opens and closes fine with the wall panel. However it only opens with the remote but won’t close with the remote.

I replaced the sensors, so not the issue. No changes in LEDs, wifi, etc. If I use the same remote I can close and open the second door which is the same LM unit without issues.

Oddly enough it DOES close if I’m on a ladder and click the remote right next to the opener/learn button.

Anything I’m missing before replacing the whole thing?

Curious if you had to assign a premium on Liftmaster, how much % is it better than it’s Chamberlain sister?

For example, if a Chamberlain B2211T is $200, what should a Liftmaster 81550 be worth? 20% more with the solid rail?

Have a Liftmaster from 2000 and it opens fine with the remote and wall button but ONLY closes with the wall button. When using the remote I can see the led next to the learn button flash but nothing happens. Sensors work, and I ended up wiring in new sensors just to check.

When using the remote to close, the door doesn’t move, lights don’t flash as if it’s triggered the sensors. Nothing.

At this point I assume the logic board is done and I’m better off just replacing the whole thing

So lately 12-14 hours will go by and my internet just drops. I went out and bought all new equipment, new coax, new SB6190 modem, new Deco XE75 mesh routers. Everything works as it should but internet just drops for a minute once or twice a day randomly.

All lights on the modem are solid still so I think the provider is fine? Anything else I should check? Is it possible the Cat5E between the modem and router is bad?

Just making sure this makes sense but if we’re holding cash in HYSAs at 4.3% does it make sense to just move everything to VUSXX which currently has a 7 day yield of 5.29% and just treat that like a savings account?

Narrowed down to 2 reputable contractors that I’m working with on a roofing job and curious which you would go for. Both are the same price before negotiating

Also first one is saying their materials are better, Firestone ultra flash vs Karna, does that matter?

Thanks for your advice!

Contractor 1
