Amphisbaena: Dead players may use their vote to nominate a living player: if the vote is successful, the dead player is revived.
Dead votes used this way are not recoverable, if a player is revived they do not regain the dead vote if they die again. This does seem to heavily favor the good team, as the game usually ends when the Demon dies, so they likely will not get a chance to revive themselves; I am considering that there might need to be an inherent [+1 Minion] to balance this out.
I am tackling the Hydra concept as a demon, but with the twist of also having good demons, so this will likely not go over very well, but I want to know what you think.
Hydrae (Demon) - You might be good and sleep through 1st night. Each night* choose a player: they die unless they are a Hydrae. [+1 or +2 Hydrae]
A minion only learns 1 Hydrae as their demon; there is no rule against them learning a good Hydrae, but it is generally advised that they learn a Hydrae that is on their team. An evil Hydrae will learn their minions and their bluffs; a good Hydrae sleeps through the first night and therefore learns no minions or bluffs.
It is the goal of a good Hydrae to get all Hydrae execut
I've been trying to focus on minions, I genuinely have no idea what makes a character, I guess.
Tamper - Each night* choose an Outsider: if they are in play, they register as an evil Demon until dawn.
The Tamper makes Outsiders more appealing targets for execution, and helps their demon hide or support their their alibi. This is a minion that can spread misinformation without using poison. Should probably have [+1 Outsider] to make sure they have a potential target in odd player counts; this way, even if they don't have a good target like Saint, they are still removing a Townsfolk for a Butler or something.
Pinkerton: Each night, choose a player: you wake after them and learn their night information.
As a minion, the Pinkerton goes pretty early in the night order, so if they do not wake up it is because their target does not wake at night. They will learn who their target chooses (if anyone), and any information they might learn as a result. They can largely work out what each player's character is as a result of this, and get a head start on any disruption that they need for world building. It's not game-breaking but it's not nothing either, as verified information that might normally be kept secret. It's also not revolutionary, so I wouldn't be surprised if this has been done before...
Just for fun, I want to make an Al-hadikhia that plays on the fact a lowercase-L and an uppercase-i look near identical. How would you make an "A.I.-hadikhia"?
I was thinking something like an Atheist but limited to the Al-had setup, like the ST picks the players and the A.I.-had has to remain alive into final 3 for town to win. Idk, like I said, just for fun, I am not that invested in it.
I misspelled Amnesiac talking to a friend and it autocorrected to "anemic" so I guess we have an anemic character now:
Anemic (outsider): Each night* if one of your neighbors is targetted by the Demon: you die, even if you could not.
Outting yourself as the Anemic makes your neighbors (living or dead) a target for the demon. Dying due to your ability bypasses protection but not droisoning. The demon may use you to achieve a multikill they otherwise could not, which may confound worldbuilding; likewise, the demon only has to target a neighbor to trigger your ability, not successfully kill them, so a target may be protected and still result in your death.
The obvious play is for an Anemi
Tattletale: Once per game, during the day, visit the Storyteller with a message. Tonight, 1 good and 1 evil player learn this message.
Can you use the mace's smash ability while mounted? In a boat, on a horse, w/e; I initially thought so, but am second guessing myself, mostly because the mount takes fall damage, not the player.
I am not in a position where I can test this myself, right now, and trying to scan the wiki has not turned up the information I am looking for. I have an idea for a minigame, but it relies on a mechanic that I am not certain exists. The idea was to essentially use leads for mid-air jousting with maces, but if you can't build up damage for the smash, it loses a lot of the conceptual appeal.
Umhymlich - Each night* a player dies; you may choose a player: they die instead. If an evil player dies: you wake a second time. [You think you are a good Townsfolk, but you are not]
Let me know if there is a better way to write this.
The idea is that the demon thinks that they are a townsfolk (how original), and do not know they are the demon. Naturally, there are some townsfolk that the demon shouldn't think that they are, but that can be up to Storyteller discretion, if the Demon thinks that they are a top 4 role, then it may be up to the Minions to convince the Demon that they shouldn't immediately nominate themselves. Or maybe the evil team is trying to pocket a good player by just
Has anyone seen, or contemplated, a Bootlegger rule to make Atheist interact with Knaves so that the lying Storyteller has to be the one that is executed? Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to play with Knaves, so I am not entirely sure how it might turn out, but thought I might chare the concept in case someone wanted to run with it.
Utopia - There might be no Demon in play. If there is a Demon, and no-one is executed: good loses. If there is no Demon, good wins.
This is the Vortox's win condition as a free-floating Loric, almost like an alternative to the Atheist. Due to the wording of the Utopia, there may be Minions, and an evil team, without a Demon, who must try to convince the Town that the Demon does exist into Final 3.
Instar - Each night*, pick 2 players: 1 is poisoned and 1 dies. Minions learn 1 Demon. [-1 Outsider and +1 Demon]
Pretty sure something like this has been done before, but here is my take on it. The Minion and Demon information is split to keep the entire Evil team from learning each other, if there is only 1 Minion, they only learn 1 of the Demons in-play.
Revitalist - Once per game, while dead, you may revive yourself. If there are no living Minions when you revive: you become evil.
Spring Maid - 1 player secretly becomes a not-in-play character. If they publicly guess (once) which character, you are executed.
The Spring Maid turns 1 player into a different character without either player realizing; during setup, 1 player will be given a character token, that token will be then be removed and replaced with a not-in-play character token. That player has 1 chance to publicly guess the character that they are (not the character that they saw), and if they do so correctly, the Spring Maid is executed, bringing an end to the day. This may be used to mechanically confirm a good players as Minions, or Minions as good characters; it may simply cause chaos with certain charac
