This is my PSA to remember to check your settings prior to jumping online.
Most specifically the autosteering and autobraking options.
I turned them on for the first time just for the Bentley 100 miles challenge this week so I could just sit at my pc and just hold throttle in a blueprint without having to steer. I had already had my progress wiped once and just wanted the challenge done.
HOWEVER, since I rarely mess with settings I foolishly forgot to turn them off prior to jumping into online and races in Horizon Open and my first attempt of The Trial.
In the open it wasnt such a big deal since I was already started last and was just trying for clean driving skills but I
I suspect there is nothing anybody here can help resolve but I guess just a notice of the bug and a word of warning since people may not do the 100 miles right away.
I bought the Bentley and did the 9 speed zones stars and 3 race victories ones and about 10 miles driven. I stopped driving that car to do other challenges and played a minor amount the past few days under the new season where everything seemed normal.
I get back on this evening to find my entire progress of the Bentley weekly challenge wiped out and reset back to chapter 1.
Thankfully I was only 10 miles in so its not super awful to restart but still to see the weekly challenge be reset completely was disappointing to have
Does anybody know if they changed how the horizon open festival playlist challenges counted recently?
For context they have had playground games stuff before for horizon open where I know I did the challenge in the seasonal playground game like the king one and it did not count the challenge for horizon open.
This led me to believe horizon open games had to be done separately via the online menu specifically as a separate event.
However, this season the open challenge was another playground games based on to infect another player and I emerged from the seasonal playground game to find i had been credited with both the seasonal games and horizon open from a single round.
Just wanted to make a new topic about this since Ive seen it asked several threads recently about when it was coming back and don't see an offical thread announcement that its back yet anyways.
I saw announcements it was coming back but they are probably buried by now so here you go.
So for those were not aware and are wanting to play it soon you can now buy it.
