Heya!

I've been super excited to see Waxahatchee tonight and bought tickets right away to see her at the Masonic. One catch - the show was moved to the Roxy, they canceled all original tickets, and the show is sold out! Ticketmaster emailed me about it once a few weeks ago, but I did not see it.

Just hoping that someone might have an extra for a super fan!

Thanks,

Avoid this gym (Barbell Culture) at all costs. I have been trying to cancel my membership for 6 months with no success. Owner will not return phone calls, voicemails, or e-mails. No employees are present at the physical location, so I have no idea how to proceed. Any advice is welcome.

I see from their google reviews that multiple other people are having the same issue. Find another gym!

It's my 2nd season of boarding and I've been putting in the work - I've gotten much better at carving and riding switch. I've also been working on my flat ground ollies and hitting side hits whenever possible, as that style of free-riding really appeals to me.

Yesterday I worked up the nerve to hit my first ever real kicker at the terrain park and stomped it - twice! It was an amazing feeling, but I have two questions about jumping technique and safety:

  1. I'm coming down weighted heavily on my back foot - any tips to land more evenly balanced? I've noticed this with my flat ground ollies, but I was doing two-footed pops off the kicker and it still happens.

  2. How do you know the landing

Hey y'all!

I'm coming to town tonight for a concert at the Burnt Pickle. I've only been to Kent once before and visited the Zephyr and Taco Tontos...is there anywhere that will be open late for some post-show munchies?

Thanks!

Can we get an MVP Open Megathread?

I want to continue the discussion from last week about these advertising walls in an around OB lines. Seemed to wreak havoc with Simon on hole 5 - no one knew if the wall was OB or the water.

Heya!

I made some chickpeas by simmering them in salted water (no pre-soak). I added diced carrot, celery, onion, and garlic, and a bay leaf and simmered for ~3.5 hours until the beans were very soft (for hummus).

I do this fairly often and the cooking broth after straining is a pretty tasty veggie broth - I use this to cook rice. However the most recent batch, the stock turned out wiggly as jello - just like my best bone broths. Any idea why? No bones or other sources of gelatin that I am aware of were added.

It was pretty tasty once it warmed/melted, and I'm cooking the rice with it as we speak. Thanks!

Heya!

Haven't seen these two directly compared. Can anyone compare/contrast the Dynamic Discs Verdict vs Discmania MD4?

I was really liking my lucid EMac Truth, especially for straight 300' forehands with a little fade. However I lost my favorite one, and the replacements have had much more high-speed turn. From my research, both of these discs might fit the bill of just a little more stability. Any thoughts?
