I've had a stye/chalazion for 7 weeks now.
For the first 4 weeks or so I just did the typical hot compresses a few times a day (with gentle massage), as well as tobradex for about a week prescribed by my eye doctor. That helped a bit. I'd say it reduced the size of the stye by maybe 20-30%.
Since then I've tried IPL , as I want to avoid surgery if possible, and there are a number of research papers that support using IPL as a treatment for styes/chalazion. I've had IPL 3 times now (the last session was yesterday). In general the main thing I've noticed with IPL is that my eyes have been secreting a lot more oils/tears, noticing a lot of eye gunk in the mornings after waking up. So it's obv

As per title. Does UBC own the land it operates on? Do they lease it from the crown?
TLDR (from my understanding): UBC legally owns the land, as it was given to them by the crown. But it is unceded because the First Nations never signed off on giving up that land to the crown.
From a bit of reading I've done - I believe navigating directly into specific iOS settings such as bluetooth settings via Linking.openURL(App-prefs:root=Bluetooth) isn't allowed, and can result in Apple Store rejections and even Apple account bans. This is obvious because these links dont work anyways when I tested it.
However, something I haven't been able to get a clear answer on is whether you're allowed to navigate into the phones "settings" via Linking.openURL(App-prefs:). In development, this currently works and you get navigated to the phone's general settings page.
Is this allowed? I haven't been able to find concrete documentation on this..
The recommended package in Flutter docs for making api requests is http. In the package the following is mentioned:
If you're making multiple requests to the same server, you can keep open a persistent connection by using aClient rather than making one-off requests. If you do this, make sure to close the client when you're done: ... client.Close();
So this has been asked before, but there doesn't seem to be a clear answer... For example https://github.com/dart-lang/http/issues/422. Should I be calling close after every api call? When the app closes?

Currently using Apollo with a GraphQL backend.
I'm looking to add the ability to store API calls/events in some sort of queue/stack when offline such that when the app goes back online, the events fire.
I know Apollo has apollo-link-retry https://www.apollographql.com/docs/react/api/link/apollo-link-retry/.
Are there other tools/libraries that anyone would recommend?
By default, it looks like React Native alert shows up centered on the screen.
I've been trying to style it in such a way that it appears at the bottom of the screen by using `position: absolute` and `bottom: 0` with no luck.
Does anyone have any tips on how to accomplish this? Do I have to use a separate npm package?
After a bit of research, I learned that Flutter for the most part prefers to use composition rather than inheritance when it comes to widgets. For example:
