Does anyone remember when they usually announce the date and location for CitizenCon? Trying to see if I’ll be able to go this year and to drag some friends / family along. Thanks.

Any idea when the 2024 colors will be announced? Or have they already? Depending on what rolls out I might upgrade.
I received a verbal offer over the phone a little over a month ago and while I understand federal can take a while is this unusual? It’s summer time and folks are probably taking time off along with holidays so the wait is expected. But how long is too long? I have a friend that waited two months before receiving an offer so I’m not at that point.
Still applying but it’s making me wonder a bit. The hard part is that the agency / location I applied to was for two jobs within the same series but one was non-supervisory and the other was supervisory. Neither is closed or updated showing selected so I can’t contact the email in the listing about the status. Guess the wait continues.
Avoiding specifics as I’m not sure if interested parties roam this subreddit. Today I was called regarding a position I applied and interviewed for recently. On my resume I have all of my managers listed because the builder throws an error if you don’t supply their details, but my recent experience I have it checked to contact me first.
They did contact me (Thank you!) and after my original panic I explained my desire to not burn bridges at my company and if they could contact my previous manager instead. They agreed and the call ended. I should’ve brought up that I could supply other references, but didn’t think about it at the time as I was muted in a meeting and didn’t have the luxury of
Looking for a little insight from folks that have obtained offers and moved into federal jobs. Over the past year out of the jobs that I’ve applied for, very selective given my intended career of EHS and safety (0018), about slightly under half of the positions I’ve applied for led to interviews. I haven’t landed an offer yet and I’m looking for some insight into improving my odds.
Maybe it’s my resume. Perhaps it’s my work experience? Or it’s even my interview skills, but some of the interviews come across as going perfectly and the process just doesn’t work out. I understand it’s a process and can take a while but anything that can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks folks.
Has anyone explored options for their JoyToy Warhammer 40K figures using dioramas? Do the ones that JoyToy have work with them (I.e. fit the scheme, fit the mechs, etc.)? Other options? Appreciate ideas as I would like to stage them not just on shelves as that’s a bit bland. Thanks.
How do orders with multiple items that release at different times work? Is it split ship or do they ship in one batch? And is this Cool Toys Club website accurate on release dates for the most part? Or is there a possibility of sliding or items that have released and available? I have an order that has items with a range of release dates and I was curious how the process worked for the future. Thanks.
I’ve applied for a few positions that were OCONUS and so far they haven’t played out beyond not accepted. Does anyone have much experience with OCONUS positions? Not particularly the application process since I assume it’s the same, or close to, as other federal positions with exceptions. Limitations on what you can take? How does OCONUS work out locality pay? Pets? Bringing vehicles and home goods? I’m trying to get an idea if they’re actually worth it since to me there are some hard requirements that others might find odd.
For one I’m not abandoning, or having them watched, my two cats for the time I would be overseas. And if possible my Jeep Gladiator would be coming. Weird I know. Than
At the start of next month I will have three years of experience in safety with a BS in Environmental Health and Safety, a variety of certificates, and work towards industry credentials. Since I decided on the career I've applied from time to time for the 0018 series mainly in my geographic area, but I was curious if anyone here had any general insight. Doesn't matter where at as long as it's for the 0018 series to gauge if it's really worth putting effort into applying. I appreciate the assistance.
