This morning r/Costco passed the 1,000,000 subscriber threshold; pretty wild if you ask me!

Thanks for all who contribute, participate in discussion and help keep this place running. It’s been a fun experience to have been a part of this subreddit for over 10 years and learning to Mod on the fly back in the early days. Quite a few of you have become friends and regulars; thanks for being here!

Initially I planned to use this announcement post to state that we’ll be looking to add more Moderators to the team. u/Cookiebutterlovers and I could use the help (she’s a big part of this sub’s success so be sure to drop her some love). However, the subreddit has exploded in the past few months (Mar

Hello everyone!

Many of you have likely heard that the contract covering 18,000 Costco employees represented by the Teamsters Union is set to expire on January 31. Months ago, the Union informed Costco that if a new contract was not presented for a member vote, employees should not be expected to report to work on February 1.

As of now, negotiations are still ongoing between Costco and the Teamsters Union. Costco has until midnight tonight to present its last, best, and final offer.

We will keep you updated with any important developments. Please use this thread for all Union/Strike-related discussions—any posts outside of this thread will be removed.

Are we able to ask for assistance when it comes to pricing issues for Southwest Hotel bookings?

I’m having issues getting some answers from Southwest as to why my booking is $54.02 more than advertised.

I booked a refundable hotel room that was advertised for $572. I was charged $467.82 with an understanding there would be resort fees. Those equate to $158.20 and will be charged at check-in.

Southwest won’t say why the room was advertised for $572 which I expected to be the “all in” pricing after resort fees. I have made several phone calls and am now emailing with Concierge; they are not able to explain the difference in pricing but say the $626.02 is correct.

Does anyone have any ot

Hello all,

Today alone, Bulky Buds has received several mod messages regarding post removals about articles referencing the membership card scanners popping up around the company and the new procedure to enter the building.

In an effort to prevent the subreddit from being overrun about this new riveting and controversial subject, I’ve created this Megathread for articles, pictures and your experiences.

All posts outside of this Megathread will be deleted.

Hi all!

Recently I activated the Subreddit Chat feature for the subreddit. I personally didn’t think any of you would notice or want to participate but it appears it’s been quite lively.

Is this a feature you think is beneficial to r/Costco? I’m curious to see your thoughts.

Thanks!

I need some help in figuring out what I broke in my Instagram ad for my band because nothing makes sense now. We’re located in the US.

Ad #1- We only targeted cities locally to us and few outside of that that we cared about. $50 and 7 days later we only got 70 clicks.

Ad#2- I had the bright idea to start marketing towards the top 10 places that streams Spotify globally. We did that for a few days and it absolutely exploded, around 300 clicks per day with a cost per click of $0.02. We only had a budget of $6 a day. 1150 total clicks

Ad#3- I wanted to expand on the cities and add in some local favorites and drilled down on some interests. Same thing happened with about 10-15 clicks an h

To all applicants, please post your job related posts here to prevent the sub from being overrun. As always, please use the search bar before posting as many questions have been answered previously.

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to jump in here and provide a brief update to the happenings going on behind the scenes at r/Costco. Below are several orders of business we’d like to highlight.

  1. Years ago we instituted a ban on all posts asking about current stock of a product. This rule was put into place as product availability can vary widely throughout the company and can best/truly only be answered by calling your local warehouse directly. Starting tomorrow, 8/1, we will be allowing stock availability questions in our monthly Megathread that is posted on the 1st of every month. Hopefully those of you who have expressed their disagreement with Rule 1 will find this change beneficial.

Thanks for your patience. r/Costco will be returning to a Public format.

While the subreddit may be returning to Public, the Moderators stand in solidarity with other subreddits regarding the circumstances in reference to the announced API pricing. We will be monitoring this ongoing situation and may determine to restrict or privatize the subreddit again dependent on future events.

For a portion of you, these API pricing changes don’t or won’t affect you. But for those who enjoy the 3PA experience, are moderators or for those losing out on important accessibility features not found or are currently poorly implemented in the Official Reddit App, this new trajectory Reddit has positioned
