I work for costco and I 100% condone you guys doing this!
I don’t work for Costco but I absolutely support this
Where am I gonna complain about muffins ??
C'mon, man. It's the combo pizza we need to moan about.
I support peaceful protest!
At least I'll still have my friends on Instagram if I get lonely.
The fight against wizards of the coast took MONTHS before they backed down. They only did it because millions of people left for other platforms.
A two day hiatus won't do anything unless it drives traffic to other websites! Don't just if ore reddit for a day, find an alternative and stick with it!
Get ‘em, player.
Love it!
Are there instructions on how to do this as a mod?
Yes, I can PM you instructions.
👍
Thank you! I support this and I am planning on putting any bakery items I purchase between 6/12-6/14 in the trash as soon as I get home since I will not have the proper sub-Reddit support to troubleshoot fresh bakery items! It is a sacrifice I will make in solidarity!
Support!!!!
Useless waste of time
Let them have their outrage etc. Sure, it will accomplish literally nothing, but might make them feel better about it.
You all do realize the admins can take control from the mods any time they want. 'Going dark' helps them justify this to investors.
Don't get me wrong, I love using the Sync Pro app but I paid less than $2 for it many years ago and I haven't seen a single ad since. But that's not sustainable.
The reddit algorithm has been trash for over a year in preparation for the IOP, exorbitant costs for access to the API is part of this too.
Reddit will fade into obscurity along with MySpace something else will come along.
Take control of a subreddit from the mods and do a bunch of thankless labor for free? Investors won’t like that.
Sure, admins will run every major sub that currently has teams to weed out the crap.
That's like saying the AGM AND GM are gonna push carts. They literally can't. For a few minutes maybe, but then it's chasing fires. One pops up, the one your spraying comes back when you leave it.
Part of the API issue is the 3rd party apps have enhanced how mods moderate, they allow tools and communication and (helpful) bots like remind me and spam filters. But Reddit is risking the continuity of the entire platform so you can see whoever's paying on every page.
There isn't even anything in the API to pass through ads lol
You all do realize the admins can take control from the mods any time they want.
Sure. Let them find out how much a free ride they’ve had with free moderation(and content creation and app development)
The combo pizza of mods
any interest in starting a Costco discord? I'd be down for that especially now you can have forum posts
It accomplished so much, just as we all expected!
Posts that don't follow r/Costco subreddit rules may be subject to removal.
When applicable, please make sure that you're using a descriptive post title with product name(s) mentioned as it yields better subreddit search results. Thank you.
