I just passed CISSP at the 100 questions this morning, and honestly…it didn’t feel as brutal as the first time I took it back in 2009.

Back then it was the hardest exam I’d ever taken and I say that without hyperbole. Six hours, 250 questions on paper with pencil in Omaha which was a three-hour drive away, and I was absolutely wiped out after the test. I did pass back then; only barely, but I didn’t have the required years of experience, so I couldn’t get the actual CISSP. Long story short, I let it lapse long ago and my career took a different turn with some burnout sprinkled in.

This brings me to today. I left home with some good music on, drove to the Pearson test center calm and focuse

I ran the Rock The Parkway Half-Marathon yesterday. I'm just a few weeks short of 1 year on Zep. I started it right after running the London Marathon last April. I ran the Chicago marathon in October and I did a two-week shot hiatus, which helped a ton after I figured out that Zep messes with glycogen stores.

I did the Polar Night Half Marathon in January, but it was after giving nearly a full unit of blood and it was cold AF AND I forgot my gels, so I finished a good 30 minutes over my normal time because, well, that race ha been brutal for me.

But this past week I skipped my shot and remembered my gels for the Rock The Parkway HM. Weather was perfect for a race. Last year before Zep, I

This stuff really is a case of the monkey's paw curling for me.

I started taking Zep in the week following running the London Marathon. I ran it at 5'8" 240lbs. I train like anyone else for my marathons and ate relatively normally, but my body just loved holding onto the weight. So I asked my PCP about it and he agreed to get me on it. I'm down to 212 and training for the Chicago Marathon in October.

My body has largely adjusted to normal training runs, but on my long Sunday runs, I seem to hit a wall and I'm really struggling to find a way around it. My theory has been that it has something to do with glycogen, so I've been trying to be strict with my gels, but even that hasn't worked.
