Had a weird issue last night that we haven't seen for a long time. A vendor helpdesk system sent a notification to our freshservice helpdesk, and freshservice replied. Their system sent an acknowledgement of the reply, and FS treated that as a new ticket even though it had the same subject line. So fresh service created a new ticket, sent the requester a notification again, and the loop kept going.
The 3rd party system correctly identified that each notification was part of the same ticket on their side, but we had about 1000 tickets in FS before it was all said and done last night. I don't think we've made any configuration changes in FS for a while, so I'm not sure why this is happ

I run a booth selling 3d printed fidgets and collectibles at the local farmer's market, craft show, and on consignment through some local stores. 3 years in, the booth is run primarily by me, with help from my 2 (teen and adult) kids when they aren't busy with school stuff on weekends. I set up every saturday morning, sell all day, and tear down in the afternoon. We've had a couple of teenage friends come help out once in a while, but not officially hired anyone. I'd love to keep doing this, but it's a side hustle for me, not my day job, and I need weekends now and again.

When does it make sense for a very small business like this to hire an employee?

I recently saw a post in another reddit saying that when shipping a small package (say, under 1lb), you can save money by setting the package weight to 3lbs instead of the actual weight of the package.
I just tried this myself on pirateship. Sure enough if I say I have a small box weighing 1lb, it was going to cost $6.69 to ship via 'Ground Advantage Cubic', but if I say the same size box weighs 3lbs it costs just $5.73 via 'Ground Advantage'.
I know that if you understate the size or weight of a package, it can end up being returned or delivered with postage due, but is the same true for overstating the weight?

I thought on my last cruise I had seen an option for a wifi & Non alchoholic drink package that included the premium access, but since booking my next cruise I have only been able to find the version with the premium (alchoholic) drink package. Does a bundle with the NA drink package exist, or did I imagine it?

Yesterday I added a custom domain to my iCloud account, and ran into an issue that I wanted to share the solution for in case anyone else runs into it.
I already owned my domain, registered thorugh Hover.com. I added the domain to my icloud account, added the DNS records in Hover's portal, and clicked 'Finish Setup' in icloud, only to get the 'Something Went Wrong' error "There was a problem checking your domain records. Try again later."

Long story short, the DNS record values Apple provides include a trailing dot after the MX and CNAME records. The instructions say to include this dot when creating your records. Hover let me input the value including the trailing dot, but when the

I was troubleshooting a conveyor issue last night and put a conveyor monitor near the end of a long run. The monitor fluctuated a little at first in the 266-268 range, then eventually settled at 270 items/min, which was less than I expected. I thought maybe I had a lower level section of conveyor somewhere in the middle that I had missed upgrading, so I went all the way along the belt and upgraded the whole thing from tier 4 to tier 5, watching closely for any sections I might have missed when upgrading previously.
I even removed and recreated any splitters/mergers in line, to be sure there wasn't a lower level section of conveyor being hidden inside. Then I placed a conveyor monitor

I put in a ticket last night for an issue with the induction hotend lock on my H2C and support replied a few hours later that they suspect it is caused by a firmware bug and an update would be forthcoming. Sure enough, the release notes are up for a new version this morning that addresses the issue. The release notes seem to be just a little ahead of the distribution servers though, as I don't yet see it as available to install.

Nice to see that it also claims to reduce false positives for nozzle clumping detection.

Hello - I recently signed up for quickbooks solopreneur and have it set up with connection to my business bank account. I have receipts that were paid with cash or from other accounts though, so there isn't a transaction in the bank account to match the receipt.
My understanding is that I should account for those expenses by adding transactions to a separate account in QB, and that I should be able to manually add an account without linking the account and giving quickbooks access to all the data. I can't figure out how to do that though. The chatbot is supremely unhelpful, telling me to go to tabs that aren't available in QB solopreneur and to click on options that don't exist.

The past several years, I've complained to my eye doctor that I feel like I get crusty buildup on the edges and corners of my eyes frequently. To the point that I'm constantly rubbing my eyes or pulling gently on eyelashes to try and clean them off. I often end up irritating the corner of my eye more just trying to get something out. It seemed much worse this year, since maybe August, so at a recent eye exam I brought it up again.

Each time I've mentioned it over the years, the doctor and/or their assistant immediately told me I just need to use artificial tears more frequently. As much as 4x a day, whether I feel like I need it or not. To my mind, that sounds like it's treating the s

We use Citrix workspace LTSR, and install it with the parameters to configure update stream to LTSR and set update checks to manual. This has been working for some time, but suddenly this weekend the updater service decided to update clients to v2507 (not LTSR) seemingly out of the blue. More details, including log files from the updater, are available in this post on the citrix community:

Wish: An official DVD release of the concert

:weirder:Bigger & Weirder Tour

I finally got to see Weird Al live this year, and it was an incredible show. I'd love the chance to relive the experience watching it again and again. Can we get a Bigger & Weirder tour DVD release? I'd be first in line to order a copy...

I've purchased a second Emporia EV charger to install in my garage. The first was installed by an electrician, who ran an additional overhead feed to the garage, replaced the subpanel, and installed a 50 amp breaker to a 14-50 receptacle. The new feed to the garage is on a 50 amp circuit from the house. There's nothing electric in the garage in regular use other than the EV charger, just a door opener and overhead lights, both of which are only active occasionally.
Per Emporia support, they are adding support for multiple EV chargers to monitor each other and adjust charge rate based on whether the other is in use. So, if only one charger is in use it will charge at 40amps, but if bo
