I've watched through the show many times, but my fiancée is seeing it for the first time. We're on S3E10 >!Tricia Tanaka Is Dead !<and she just said the words "I hate that these new people are talking so much". She has no prior knowledge of Nikki and Paulo being introduced in Season 3. She has no prior knowledge that the fans absolutely hated Nikki and Paulo. She has no idea that Nikki and Paulo are >!going to be killed off in S3E14 Exposé.!< This is going to be the best four episodes of television I've ever watched.

Isn't annual billing supposed to provide a benefit? Generally, that's what companies prefer: if they can bill annually, they're guaranteed a year worth of income, so they pass benefits onto the consumer. In this case, however, any shop of 8 or less developers is actually being charged MORE if they opt for annual billing. It seems like it hurts both Atlassian (missing out on annual contracts) and the consumer (not

  • Total budget and country of purchase:
    • $2500 in US as a stretch
    • $2000 would be much better
  • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply.
    • 2-in-1 is nice but I don't use it much and could go without.
    • I don't run on battery often.
  • How important is weight and thinness to you?
    • Weight isn't important. Screen size is more important for travel purposes.
    • I use it on a variety of surfaces, so too thin might present cooling issues.
  • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.
    • Win10 Pro - can upgrade from Home later if needed.
  • **Do you have a preferred

To start off, I've been a PHP guy for around 15 years. I use it every day at work, and I use it for personal projects constantly. I don't particularly like the language, but I'm very comfortable with it.

With that in mind, I'm about to start a fairly large solo project at work that'll run on our Windows desktops, rather than server-side. I realize that I'll have to learn new syntax and functions, but I've dabbled in C/C++ and Python without much issue. However, I would like to stick with OOP/MVC as much as possible, since that's what I've been doing in PHP the past few years.

Here are the main things I'm looking for:

  • Decent file and string manipulation support (nearly everything I'll be

Negating external factors like weather and temperature, is atmospheric pressure identical at the peak of a 2000m mountain as it is 2000m above the ocean? Or does underlying terrain have an affect as well?

I'm leaning toward thinking that the atmosphere between sea level and 2000m would compress to provide exactly the same support as a solid mountain surface for the atmosphere above it, but I have zero background in any of the dynamics involved here.
