Background Story: I’ve been working on a website/app/tool (I never know what to call these anymore), to help with hashtag creation. I originally built it because I’m terrible at coming up with hashtags myself, and figured other people might have the same problem. So I made the site and a browser extension. Since AI can generate hashtags now, I added some extra features to make it actually useful, and I have plenty more ideas I want to build out.

Here’s my question: if the end goal is to get people using it and eventually make some money from it, should I spend more time building new features or start focusing on marketing what already exists? If the answer is “start marketing,” what would y

I built a little tool called TagWiz because I’m terrible at coming up with hashtags and got tired of guessing what might actually work. Since AI can generate hashtags now, I added some extra features to make it more than just “ask AI for tags.” I also built a browser extension so it’s easy to use anywhere.

Now I’m at the point where I’m not sure what direction to take next. I’ve got a list of features I could keep building, but I’m wondering if I should pause and focus on getting real users first. I’d love some honest Indie Hacker-style feedback on any of the following:

  • Should I keep improving the product first, or start trying to market it now?
  • What would you do to validate interest

I post regularly on Instagram and LinkedIn, but I suck at coming up with good hashtags. I got tired of it and built a free browser tool + website that:

  • Uses AI to generate relevant hashtags
  • Lets you pick a tone (fun, formal, sassy, etc.)
  • Now has a no-signup trial on the homepage

I just released it — it’s called TagWiz ( dot app not dot com). Would love to hear what you think or how you’d improve it.

Happy to share the link in the comments.

One day I would like to be able to have an AI dev team I can give a reasonably detailed requirements document to and they will build the whole thing including good UX, CI/CD, highly secure, best practices used, no duplication of code, and full tested with unit, integration, and e2e setup. Are we there yet?

I don't think so. It seems like with the right set of MCPs, tools, and hooks we can be really close. I say 'seems like' because I am struggling with the full thing but the tools have the capability.

Do you think we are close? What tools do you use to get your ai dev team working autonomously?

Claude tends to just make changes to get the ask done instead of consider the whole project and if any code could be reused or abstracted into shareable functions. I have tried telling Claude to prioritize refactoring over duplication in the prompt and in CLAUDE.md. It doesn't seem to work. I end up being very specific to get it to work (e.g., make an 'todayDateMidnightUTC' JavaScript function then replace this code in the following files...).

I think there is a better way. I have considered hooks, tools, and mcp servers, but I haven't come up with something i think will work.

Has anyone figured out a solution for this?

Thanks in advance for the help.

A few months back Claude became more agreeable. It now tells me, "You are absolutely right!" even when I'm not or I only provided a suggestion. I don't like this. I want it to tell me if I am mistaken or if there is a better way. Like I always tell my direct reports at work, "Question my asks and push back if things don't make sense. I get things wrong. You have knowledge and experience I don't. We have better outcomes as a collaborative team." I want this type of working arrangement with Claude, especially Claude Code.

Any suggestions on how I can make this work with Claude Code? Has anyone tried solving something like this before?

Hey all,

I’ve been experimenting with small tools lately and just launched something called TagWiz. It’s a simple AI tool that reads your post or caption and suggests hashtags based on tone (like funny, professional, dramatic).

I built it because I’m not great at coming up with hashtags and wanted something that would adapt to my writing style — especially when I’m posting from my laptop.

Would love any feedback from other makers or creators — UX, messaging, usefulness, etc. I know it’s early, so I’m open to ideas on how to improve it!

I'm also interested in features I can add that would be useful to you. Let me know if you have new features to add, even if they do

Hey folks,

I’ve been experimenting with building small tools lately and just finished the first version of something called TagWiz. I created both a web version and a browser extension that takes some text (like a post caption) and uses AI to come up with relevant hashtags. I usually post from my computer, so the browser extension is how I use it.

I have been posting more lately and was frustrated at my lack of creativity with hashtags, so I built something. Based on my use case, I wanted something that could:

  • Pick up on tone (like funny, professional, dramatic)
  • Be fast and easy to use while I’m writing posts

Right now, it works — kind of a rough first version. It’s not in the C
