A friend is looking to respond to a tender from a large alcohol distributor, and one of the things being asked for is an Ale flavoured with raspberries.

Requirements include:

  1. Fermented with cultivated yeast
  2. Not sour beer (written confirmation from the brewery must accompany the offer)
  3. Flavoured with raspberry
  4. Max. 6,0 % alcohol on label

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Since I live in BC, I'd prefer him to go with a local beer, but anything from Canada or the US is fair game.

First post, so please let me know if I should be asking somewhere else.

I have a couple of Bushnell Core DS cams that I use to capture night footage of the coyotes in my area. The cameras have identical settings and SD cards, yet one keeps resetting to factory defaults on a semi-regular basis, whereas the other one works flawlessly.

As can be imagined, I would rather have this be a 60-second video clip, as the camera is configured to capture, than this lone image. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have an RBR850 system with 1 satellite. When I go into the main router admin page, the "Home" page shows 1 satellite. However, when I go to the "attached devices" list, it doesn't show anything.

I can connect to the satellite via HTTPS and log into it, but I see no indication that it is actually connected to a central router, other than the fact that I never set it up and the same username/password combo as the main device can be used to log in.

How do I make sure the Orbis are actually connected properly? Also, they are fairly close, but any devices closest to the satellite but farther away from the main device have intermittent drops all the time. Is this an interference issue, or what

A friend of mine is an importer of alcohol (primarily whisky, but also other things including beer) to Norway and he is looking for a North American wheat beer for a tender. Since BC obviously has the best beer, I thought this group might have some recommendations?

Some requirements are:

  1. Must be labeled «Witbier», «White», «Blanc» or similar.
  2. Only flavoured with hops, orange rind and coriander seed.
  3. Min. 5 % alcohol content

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Scandinavian Stores

Ask Vancouver

Does anyone know of any stores in the lower mainland with a good Scandinavian section? There used to be the one in Surrey/Port Kells, but that's gone. Specifically, I'm looking for Gløgg syrup.

I've got some dings and scratches on my car and it may be time get that sorted. Can anyone recommend a good place to get this done? I'm guessing it'll be somewhere in the Newton area, as that seems to be the prime spot for this for some reason, but I'm flexible.

Edit: Thanks for the suggestions! Guess I have some phoning around to do. :-)

Something tells me there is potential to create cool stop-motion video using Townscaper. This is a proof of concept more than anything else. Curious to see what others have been doing.

Basically, I take a screenshot, move the camera a little (zoom in the first segment using the mouse wheel, "up" key in the second to move), take another screenshot, etc. Then I rename the files to a sequence (each scene is a sequence) and import into DaVinci Resolve (free - very powerful!) and render to a video.

I recently replaced my old Mac Mini with a new M1 model (yay!). I'd like to use the old one to run a few containers (Jenkins etc). However, I can't make it boot and stay on without having a monitor attached at boot. I tried getting one of these HDMI dummy plugs, but it doesn't do it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd hate to have to plug in a monitor just to boot the stupid thing.

Does anyone have any tips to where I may be able to find Ting? Allegedly it's great with Rum, and I have a strong desire to try. But I can't seem to find it anywhere. Nearest I've been able to find it in Victoria so far. Any tips would be appreciated.

I'm at my wits' end here, and I'm hoping someone that knows Plex better than me is able to help out.

I was running Plex on Ubuntu 17.04 (first mistake) and it's so old I couldn't upgrade. So I had to reinstall the whole box. I did so and I'm now on 20.04 LTS with the same hostname and IP address. I installed Plex and fired it up, and it didn't find any of the libraries. I figured that was understandable since it's a new install - I'll just remove and recreate the server. Second mistake. Now I am unable to add any servers back in. When I access Plex at http://ipaddress:32400 it shows a bunch of online shows and if I go to the settings, the attached image shows what I get.

Any insight woul

This is driving me absolutely bonkers, and I'm hoping someone can help.

On the Mac the Synology Drive Client lets me choose where in /home/ I want my Drive folder (i.e. /home/drive/drive, since I also have /home/drive/backup - this keeps things nice and tidy). However, the Windows client insists on dumping everything to /home/drive, which as one can imagine, creates utter havoc. Either I'm an idiot (not unlikely), or the Windows client is braindead, not letting me change the host folder location. Any input would be appreciated.

Edit: I'm using Windows client version 2.0.1-11061
