In a graphics based programming, I’m starting to get the impression that it is better to store data in slope-intercept form rather than the raw start and end points.

Is my impression correct?

I originally posted the question above in r/math

Been thinking about it and yes there would be the special case where the slope is of defined.

My suspicion is that slope-intercept with start and end distances would be better because you are likely to need those values for intersection, collinearity (correct word?) and such testing functions. This way they would essentially be cached.

Thoughts?

I need to figure out the unique angles created by the coordinates in a 2d grid of a given size. (E.g. 200x200)

Starting from 3 and working up, I realized that I could eliminate any coordinate that did not have at least one prime. (2,4. 100,340 etc). That doesn't guarantee that the remaining ones are unique. For example 3,9 would not be.

Is there a concept of 'prime coordinates' ?

....or possibility an algorithm that determines if a given coordinate is 'prime' (or whatever the correct term would be). It would describes a unique angle that cannot be described by a simpler coordinate. (3.9 would not be because 1,3 would be a simpler way)

My current thought is to check if the coordinate pai

Curious if any one else has developed a set of 'rules' for their adv/ dual sport addiction.

Me...

  1. never, ever put anything on top of the back bags. Even less often if black. It's a really good way to lose things. Instead they can go on the seat or gas tank. Seat is better because I'll feel them if I forget. Or that's the hope.

  2. always zipper close all bags and backpacks right after opening and accessing what's needed. It's a good habit to get into so that I don't accidentally ride off with a backpack half open.

  3. Never pass up a gas station if less than full and about to get off pavement.

  4. paint all tools something bright. Mine are orange. They get lost easily in the dirt an

Im trying to remember some of the common elements from the book "The Power of Myth" (Joseph Campbell/ bill Moyers)

Dad has to die Death and resurrection Infinity Jesus/Buddha Teacher/student Community Dance Symbolism Slaying Dragons (dog) Plants Dualities (good/bad, has/doesn't have, choose this path or this path) Story telling Sacrifice Crucifixion Virgin birth (adopted, not born)

Ugh...can't find my copy of the book.

I'm not convinced that the books were planted.

If the FBI or some other agency wanted to make it look like she had created the story then:

Why put them in an Amazon box that might have a shipping label which would indicate shipping date?

How did she pay for them?

Why not make the books look like they've been read? We can assume that the FBI is not stupid.

Why leave the books all in one place?

Why not plant other evidence beyond books?

Is anyone else having problems with their Okc iPhone app? Mine used to work fine and as of about a week (or so) ago my buttons went away. They still act correctly when I select them (I remember where they were), but the spot is blank...the same color as the background. Similarly the rating stars are not showing.
