I first engaged with GLG and Guidepoint a few years back after getting reached out to thinking it'd be a good way to make some extra scratch. But after responding to a handful of solicitations and taking a lot of time to fill out surveys/drop in my availability, I was never booked. And they often wanted to ask me about a specific company that I no longer work for, but where I'm still a shareholder so not comfortable speaking about.

Recently it seems like the outreach has really increased from GLG, Guidepoint, and now Alphasights and Grant Thornton Stax with offers ranging from $200-$600 an hour.

Does anyone have any insight into whether they've improved their booking processes or if any of

I've done this twice now on the Northeast Regional day of, which seems to drop prices in an effort to get people to book up remaining seats. If you purchased a flex fare, modify your trip and if the ticket you purchased is now lower priced you can "change" to the same ticket and get a refund! Got $70 back for a 2 person trip earlier this week doing this.

Also it's nearly always worth it to pay for the flex fare in my experience. Took me too long to figure this out.

Wondering if anyone has had success using cash to upgrade a SWISS air flight they booked using united miles? I've booked a round-trip from JFK <> GVA for myself and my pregnant wife using miles, and while I was able to snag business on the return the only option going there was economy. Seats together so we're happy to fly economy if that's the best option, but since it's a redeye and my wife is pregnant I'm trying to see if I can surprise her with an upgrade.

I have some cash in my united TravelBank so was thinking I could use that, and I can see on Swiss' website that there are business class seats available on the flight. But United says the flight isn't eligible for an upgrade.

Any

Anyone else experiencing this issue? Been spending a lot of time on NE regionals and have been managing my trips in the app just fine until today. I'm on android, and when I try to login it just loops me back to the main screen without logging me in. Have tried clearing app cache and data, clearing Amtrak cookies, and switching to desktop browser in the login popup but none of those seem to be working. If anyone's found a fix let me know!

Title contains my question. My Dad has just started hospice care where he lives in DC, but we're trying to determine if we can take him down to Montreat one last time. His mother grew up in Black Mouth, and he and then my family grew up making bi-annual pilgrimages down to stay for a week. Kids would do day camps and spend all day exploring the mountains and playing in the creek. Our parents would cook, hike grandfather mountain, and hang out.

I know that the town was severely impacted by the hurricane last year, so not sure if it'd be responsible to plan a trip. Given some of the medical challenges, it'd be a large undertaking so just trying to understand the situation before we do so. We

I live in Brooklyn and need fairly regular access to a car as my dad lives down in Maryland and is preparing to enter hospice. I'd like to be able to go back and forth more easily. Not sure how long I'll need the car - but guessing at least 1-2 months and more likely 4-6. Not looking to own long term, I despise parking and the obligations of owning a car here.

I'm not looking for any specific make or model - whatever is the most affordable and nothing too big as I'll be parking on the street. I've used Kyte rentals a lot but they cost about $32 a day at the cheapest. I've looked at Turo and Flexcar which seem to have better pricing, but some mileage limits. Given I'll probably be driving ba
