How have others found/approached the job market on return?

My child is 9 and has had some success with open casting calls but we are now looking to get them some representation. We are London based.

Does anyone have any agencies they have had good experiences with? Or bad?!

Looking mid level to boutique.

Particularly interested in the Young Actors Agency, PD Management, Ardent, Daisys, maybe Sally King.

Also keen to know how competitive it is to get into such agencies.

We (with two kids aged 6 and 8) are driving from Hertfordshire to York in the coming days for a couple of days and looking for recommendations on places to stop and interesting things to see on the way up! Or even places to eat. We plan to go the A1 route one way and the M1 the return. We need to stop relatively frequently as one kid gets car sick. Any places of interest? We are relatively new to the UK so easily entertained by all things historic or anything fun.

Anyone have any great recommendations for a holiday spot. Going late August. We have two kids 5 and 7. Wondering if we should do a resort for the ease of it all?

We have guests coming to stay in a month and I am looking at options for beds. We have a spare room but not bed.

I have found places that hire out beds for extended periods of time, like 6 months to 12 months. But struggling to find a place that would do a shirt rental, like two weeks for a queen bed.

Anyone have a recommendation?

I’ve filled out my forms and I am currently waiting for my EVisa to be linked to my account to create a share code. I am trying to find out how long this takes and how to talk to someone, none of the numbers I call get me in touch with a real human and just tell me the information is on the site and disconnects me. My landlord needs the code and it’s getting to crunch time. Anyone know a number to call that gets you in touch with a real human ?

Or have any advice?

We are moving from the southern hemisphere shortly to the UK. We have two young boys 5 and 7 and a dog. I will be working in soho.

I love the look of Rickmansworth, but unsure about the likelihood of getting my kids in an ok school or even both into the same school out of normal rotation. We would be there to start the last term.

Also how bad is the commute, am I going to seriously regret living that far out, or is the great access to the quiet and the outdoors once you get there all worth it?

Any locals have any thoughts to share?
