Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well.
I’m currently in the recruiting process for a DCM role at a BB (GS, MS, JPM). So far, I’ve completed two online rounds, one with an analyst and another with a VP.
For the next stage (in-person), I’ve been asked to analyze two publicly listed companies and develop a view on their debt in the capital markets. Both are considered peers in the credit space.
Has anyone gone through a similar process? According to the VP, I should approach it from a creditor’s perspective, essentially assessing whether I would invest in the company’s debt or not.
What would you recommend focusing on? How deep should I go in the analysis?
Any advice would be greatly appreci
Hello everyone.
I’ve been exploring different areas within the financial markets, and DCM has recently caught my attention, especially considering the country I’m in, the deal flow, and how relevant fixed income seems to be here.
That said, I haven’t been able to find clear information about what the day-to-day actually looks like, particularly at the intern level. I’m curious about the main responsibilities, typical working hours, compensation, and how intellectually engaging the role tends to be.
If anyone has experience in DCM and could share some insights, I’d really appreciate it.
Hello travelers,
I’ll be arriving in Berlin soon and I’m a bit lost when it comes to buying a SIM card.
I’m not sure whether it’s better to buy one at the airport or in the city. Are there SIM card options available both at the airport and in the Mitte area? Also, what are the typical prices for SIM cards?
Where would you guys recomend me to buy one? And the best options?
Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone,
I’m a summer intern in Corporate Banking at a mid-sized bank (covering companies with USD 1bn+ revenue). I’ve been enjoying it a lot, but I often have some free time.
Our bank has a strong DCM team and an open culture across divisions. A friend in DCM suggested two analysts (both from my university) as good people for me to talk to.
Is it acceptable to message them directly on Teams and ask for a quick in-person chat? Would that be weird for a first “coffee chat”? Also, what kinds of questions actually make these conversations interesting from the analyst’s perspective?
Thanks in advance!
Hello everyone!
I’ll be solo traveling for the first time in February 2026, and I’ve already chosen all the hostels for the other cities I’m visiting. Prague is the only one still undecided. There are so many options and reviews that I’m having a hard time knowing what to expect from each place.
After researching, three hostels caught my attention: OneFam Old Town, The MadHouse, and Luma Terra.
OneFam is very well known, has a great location, and seems social but not as party-focused as MadHouse. However, it’s also the most expensive option. MadHouse looks great in terms of social life and price, and I like that the beds have curtains for privacy. That said, many reviews mention that it c

Hello Münchners!
I’ll be visiting your city in February. I’ll start in Berlin, then travel through Poland and the Czech Republic, and finally return to Munich. In Munich, I’ll be staying from the 16th to the 20th, which gives me three full days to explore.
I’m planning to do a day trip, but I can’t decide between Neuschwanstein Castle and Nuremberg. Both really appeal to me: I love history and well-preserved old towns, but I’m also drawn to nature and iconic landmarks like Neuschwanstein.
I don’t mind waking up early or getting back late if that means I can fully enjoy the destination and make the most of the day. I also really love beautiful landscapes, especially winter scenery with sno
