Hey there fellow Omada users,

First off, I'm a systems guy, not a network guru.

I've got some PowerEdge servers in a co-location and run my Omada Controller in a Linux container on Proxmox. I got the Omada gear because I wanted it to "just work," you know?

But I've hit a snag with this WAN IP aliasing thing on my ER7206 running the latest firmware 1.4.0 Build 20230828 Rel.58568 and an Omada SDN virtual Controller 5.12.6 in a Debian LXC.

The Setup

Two /28 public IP subnets, one physical connection, no VLANs. My old setup had 1:1 NAT going to an Nginx Proxy Manager in a DMZ, and it was fine. But when WAN IP aliasing came around, I thought, "Cool, let's secure this thing up."

The new Wiki with WYSIWYG editing powered by Wiki.js is online now. No content has been migrated from the old wiki yet.

However, if you login with Twitch or Discord you can edit the Wiki, create new pages, upload images, etc etc.

Much easier and more user friendly then GitHub hopefully :-)

Happy Wednesday morning r/vaporents! :-)

As /u/spez and Reddit keep up with their fuckery, taking entire mod teams out just to immediately restore them, etc, etc.

The writing has been on the wall for a long time. Our days are numbered on this platform as so many cannabis and various vaping subreddits have disappeared under the ban hammer in preparation of Reddit’s IPO. An alternative is needed to keep the lignts on long term for the community that won’t have that problem.

Plus, really not digging (heh) how Reddit is handling the current state of looks around everything. Apparently the mod teams of those that are still private or restricted are receiving threats of removal from Reddit (pikachu shocked face) because they are making an impact. We have been to
