I was hoping maybe some of the cyclists on here have been on the camp chase trail today (or yesterday) and could share what condition it is in. Considering one of the tornadoes crossed it / paralleled it, I am wondering if it is rideable.

And it doesn't take a genius to figure out how that demographic is likely to vote. It's cool seeing all the "I voted no" posts, but a few hundred people online is nothing compared to the tens of thousands of people heading to the polls today, many of whom are going to vote to take away your ability to affect change via direct democracy. Don't let them - get out and VOTE.

It seems like Columbus lacks a really well defined bike corridor for east-west travel at any point inside the 270 loop. What are the best spots to make the jump from the Olentangy bike trail to the Alum Creek trail or other good east-west routes? My personal criteria for such a route would be:

  1. Safety (road speed, bike infrastructure, general respectfulness of the area residents)
  2. Speed (lack of red lights, lack of turns, cleanliness of bike lanes)
  3. Good spots to stop (cafe, brewery, bike shops)

Hello,

I have a 1952 Midwest USA home that has an unfinished half of the basement and a finished half of the basement. The original furnace was a gravity furnace and it appears that when they changed the furnace out (10+ years ago), they replaced the accessible duct work on the unfinished side with new ducts that are sized correctly and do not contain asbestos tape. The old sections that are still in the inaccessible part, on the other hand, do, as well as one wall register where it appears there's some tape on the wall stud that helps to form the boot.

I am talking with a couple abatement companies that both feel like encapsulation of the tape where it can be accessed is the correct move

Hey all, I am experiencing an issue where, a few hundred miles after servicing my rear hub, the hub is loosening up on short rides enough to have noticeable play when I get home. It's a standard cup/cone hub with quick release - I got the lock nuts down pretty tight when I did the overhaul.

Is there any way I can stop this from happening? Do I need to get some loctite for the threads?

Quite the commotion with significant police presence and what appeared to be an injured cyclist, but they were arresting a man who didn't appear to be a driver. Lots of witnesses around so thought someone here might either have been there for it or heard from a coworker.

Did a Century ride down the peninsula yesterday and took the "Bayway" route (from SF2G) northbound right when the winds started blowing hard. Looked it up when I got home and saw it was 37 gusting 47 while I was passing SFO.

There's nothing worse than spending 50 miles doing 12mph in the little chainring and not even getting credit for any hills.
