Got my MIL a new Sony Bravia with the simplified remote. It has a shortcut where you can turn on accessibility features by long pressing the Mute button. The problem is that she keeps activating it and then doesn't know how to turn it off and I can't do it for her (long back story but she's in a different state).

Is there a way to deactivate that shortcut on the remote? Searched all the boards and chatted with Sony, but no luck so far.

From 28N HOT lanes to 495 were $12.75 @ 9:30 this morning. My question, and I honestly want to know, is why? I took the main lanes, moving with traffic, and never showed down once. Why do much for zero gain and, more importantly, and scarily, what will they cost when there actually is traffic on the main lanes?

Seems like 495 & 95 HOT tolls vary in relation to actual traffic levels.

We live on the southern approach to IAD and so see landing planes overhead all the time. Sometimes their landing gear are down long before they get over our house, sometimes as they pass over, and sometimes not until they are well past. I know it has to do with speed, altitude, etc., and we've noticed that the size of the plane doesn't seem to matter.

My question is whether any of the variation is attributable to pilot preference. Do some pilots just like them down earlier? Or is it all approach parameter determined?

Just spent a week in an Infiniti Q50, a car some reviews said was better than the 3 series. While it was ok, it wasn't in the same class in terms of driving, comfort, technology, or anything else Anyone else driven a so-called competitor that massively underwhelmed?
