So yeah. They claim Global Unified Server. Do they even know what that means?

I was so looking forward to not only seeing the crypto BS gone, but also finally being able to play alongside my friend from the US. One of the few I fully trust and the one who introduced me to NNK.

Now it turns out the global unified server thing? Marketing BS. Asians are segregated into a separate set of servers and EU/US are segregated into another.

I am disappointed because it turns out we may never get to play together after all. Netmarble lied.

I just got my post taken down because apparently the bot is stupid. So I'm reposting but this time without the image.

YouTube keeps pushing me an ad with a fake iPhone popup saying that my phone is out of memory and I should install some memory cleaner app which I know is fake.

The problem is I've already reported this ad countless times. It disappears for a few days but then always comes back. Today I reported it again and it comes back less than an hour later.

These kinds of ads will trick you into downloading an app to clean the phone then push you to pay for the actual ability to clean it. Very often it will present false memory usages and then pretty much do nothing after.

I put together a Thunderbolt eGPU using a TH3P4G3 and a Radeon RX550.

The host already as a Radeon RX7900XTX in it but I would like my auxiliary display be driven by a separate GPU from my primary display because reasons.

I plugged in the enclosure and it appears in the KDE Thunderbolt settings panel where I promptly authorized it. The GPU shows up in lspci but is unclaimed.

I have tried adding a new amdgpu.conf config to modprobe.d with the line amdgpu softdep pre: thunderbolt hoping to delay loading the amdgpu driver until thunderbolt is loaded, but that doesn't seem to consistently work. Sometimes it works, sometimes it kernel panics, but more often than not it doesn't. I also adde

OK, this has been going on for a while now and I need to vent.

One AUR maintainer who maintains the virtualbox-ext-oracle AUR package is an idiot and doesn't know how basic mathematics logic works. Installing his package totally blocks pacman from updating periodically. Clearly he doesn't even test his own packages.

So I complained about this AUR package in the Arch forum.

Instead the people on the forum sided with the maintainer and blasted me for voicing out the concerns many have posted on the AUR discussion page. Friendship over logic apparently. Apparently having good PR is enough to cut you some slack while I get bombed with "facts" that I know is false, like how you don't need t

So I have been having this issue since upgrading. The system will always report limited internet connectivity. Have just reformatted and the issue persists with a fresh install.

The only major change in the entire setup is SystemD so I triaged the issue to that. Unfortunately I am not able to downgrade because systemd-libs older version is missing?

As per title. Motherboard is a X670E Steel Legend with a R9 9950X and a Thunderbolt 4 AIC (non-R2.0) card. I just realized this evening that the JHL8540 controller is no longer showing up when I do a lspci on Linux. Is there anything in BIOS 3.40 that disables or breaks Thunderbolt support? I've already re-enabled Thunderbolt support in AMD PBS after upgrading. However I also just noticed that unlike the Thunderbolt 3 AIC that I have in my X570 Phantom Gaming X, the BIOS also isn't offering me a user security level after I enable support, suggesting that the BIOS may not be seeing the card.

Plugging a USB3 device into the board does get detected, which suggests that the board is working to

Just got my hands on the TG-SGFX850-W PSU. If anyone at Thermalright is reading this, please consider longer EPS cables. We no longer live in the early 2000s where the PSU is right above the motherboard. On my case the PSU actually goes to the front of the case, the EPS cable for the SGFX850 cannot reach it if I route it behind the board, and routing it around the board only barely reaches. I refuse to let the cable run across the motherboard and ruin the asthetics.
