Does anybody know when General and Departmental Scholarships release? I’m an anxious freshman and a scholarship from AUSOM will literally determine if I attend AU or not. Also am I likely to get an AUSOM scholarship if i receive an admissions scholarship for my ACT already ?

Let me Preface this by saying this is all PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

Ok so i’ve been dabbling with essay topics and I’ve kinda landed on this one. I’d write about the time I was rejected from my middle school ambassador program, despite having a perfect interview score and perfect grades. I’d write about how it was my first time paying the “Black Tax”, my theory of having to be exceptional as a black male in spaces where mediocrity is acceptable for white students. I’d intertwine all this into my involvement and drive in high school, and how when I went on to embrace the Black Tax and use it to my advantage.

Do you guys think this essay has any red flags or is too generic? Keep in mind i live

I’m a teenager (17) and i started a robinhood account around fall of last year. I add scheduled contributions and have about $600-$1000 in there currently. I plan on opening a Roth Ira as soon as i turn 18 (sept. 23). I currently work a pretty good summer job, so my question is should i keep contributing $ to my own portfolio, or just save that money and make a big contribution to my Roth Ira when i open it? Thank you!

Applying To College

Rising Senior here. I’d love to attend Howard but the sticker price is ridiculous. Anyone know what id be looking at in terms of scholarships and aid with a 30 act a 4.0 and decent ecs/involvement

All the juniors at my school took the official act on April 12th. When i go to my act it just says “Spring 2022 test window, we will email you when your scores arrive”. Any idea how long it might take and if they will come by mail or email first? Thank you
