Here is my current build. Located and purchasing in Germany.

Earlier, it bluescreened, then stopped finding my NVME boot drive in BIOS (while still recognizing it as a storage drive). Tinkered around a little - disconnecting drives, flashing BIOS and CMOS, used an old Win10 boot drive I had. Nothing is able to get past POST, and after failing that step, the motherboard stops recognizing the drive just used as a boot drive.

I'm thinking the part likely at fault is in this order:

  • Motherboard. Seems something about it is fucked, but I know little about motherboards.
  • PSU. Some kind of defect causing power fluctuations or something which the

I've been stuck at this for a day now, searching through all kinds of online threads.

I'm a novice when it comes to C++ and CMake. I created a small project using the libigl library, and used their sample project as a starting point, replacing the main.cpp with my own .cpp file and uncommenting the libigl modules I used in the CMakeLists.txt.

Now I also want to add fTetWild to my project and use it via function wrapper. That wiki doesn't explain how to do so, but I'm assuming it works just like outlined in the

So, I'm posting on behalf of my friend. She's currently in the Osaka area as an exchange student, then will return back to Europe after a few more months (I hope that qualifies as "living in Japan" per the sub rules).

Her Xiaomi phone is currently breaking down, both screen and charging port, and repairing it will probably be similar in price to buying some other cheap to midrange phone. Here's what she is looking for:

  • 400 euro is the price cap, that's roughly 64,000 yen
  • Android devices only
  • Must be new, no used / refurbished
  • Must be e-sim compatible because she's using an Ubigi e-sim for her stay
  • No "carrier version" like a Docomo etc.
  • Must work in Japan and back home in

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

Two monitors, 1080p @ 60 Hz. Main one for gaming and programming (no machine learning), second one for Youtube/Twitch. Potentially hosting game servers for a small friend group every so often.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)

60FPS at 1080p, high settings. I only play AAA games very rarely. It's only about the processor here - I will keep using my GPU and likely upgrade it in three years or so.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

~700 euros is what my current upgrade plan would cost, I'm trying to get a second opinion if this looks

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.

  • Gaming and programming (no machine learning) on main monitor, streaming video on second monitor (down, not up). Both monitors are 1080p 60Hz (though I will upgrade in a few years when I upgrade my GPU).

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?

  • Maybe like 600 euros for CPU + Mobo + SSD? If I need a new PSU, then maybe like 100 or 150 for that too. I don't know current part prices.

**When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy

1080p 60FPS gaming on one monitor, Netflix / Youtube / Spotify on the other. 90% of what the plays is easy to run, like Smite, League of Legends, or visual novels; but sometimes she wants to play more intense titles, like a Monster Hunter or Devil May Cry or heavily modded Minecraft, which is starting to be problematic.

She does not want to buy used parts.

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?

She is a little unsure. She plans to upgrade in two batches: RAM and one major (GPU or CPU) around Christmas for around 350, and the re

Yo, I'm searching for someone to play MHGU on Switch with me before Rise arrives.

I'm currently HR6 and frustrated with the nature of random online lobbies and everybody doing nothing but key quests - so if you've got some experience with the franchise and like to take it at a slower pace instead of rushing to the end of G rank, feel free to message me.

I'm overall a pretty calm and liberal person. I don't have too much time due to university, work, and other games, but I could probably play every few days or so. Thanks to university though, I'm pretty flexible with my 'schedule'.

In terms of language, English and German both work for me.

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

  • Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:

Maximum of 400 euros, will be buying in Germany.

  • Are you open to refurbs/used?

No.

  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

Performance needs to be good enough to handle R in the statistics 1-3 courses a friend of mine needs to do. Battery life and build quality don't need to be anything special, especially with this budget.

  • How important is weight and thinness to you?

A lighter laptop would be nice, but having R work is the main focus.

  • **Do you

###Build Help:

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)

Yes, I have.

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

This build is for a coworker of mine who studies architecture at a university. I know absolutely nothing about this, but he told me he uses the programs Lumion, AutoCAD, and Rhino 3D (to give you an idea of needed performance).

He would also like to use two monitors, 1920x1080 resolution. Currently at 60Hz, thinks about upgrading to 144Hz later.

The build will also be for some gaming, but I think it will be more than enough for that.

Hi. I'm introducing BL2 to a friend, and we want to use the UCP. I am playing via Steam, she is playing via Epic Games Store.

I've used the UCP without any problems before and got it to run, but we're having trouble getting it to run for her. We did the same on her end as usual - get the patch.txt in the binaries folder, hex edit the BL2.exe (in the epic games directory). After she executes the patch via console, she gets the message that the patch is running, but it's not actually changing anything ingame for her. There is no 'Running UCP' in the badass rank menu either.

Does anybody have any idea what's wrong? Do you have to do anything different for the EGS version of the game?

My graphics card most likely died three days ago, so I need a new one. What's a good one to get right now? I'm thinking on spending maybe 300-400 euros, but I don't know much about current prices.

I know that I'm overdue with upgrading CPU/motherboard/RAM too, and I want to upgrade those sometime this year, but not right now due to money reasons. I will probably upgrade to an AMD CPU, if that makes a difference in compatibility.

Do I have to be careful with anything or is it just remove old card, plug new one in, done? This is my first time replacing a part.

I will be buying in Germany. Thanks for the help!

r/statistics•

My girlfriend will start going to university for psychology in a few months, and part of that will be Statistics 1 - 3. She's very afraid of it because of all the maths, but I personally believe everybody is able to do/learn math, most people are just in a bad mindset and had teachers that didn't work for them.

I'd like to get a book that teaches me statistics so I can help her while she's going through the courses and am looking for recommendations on cheapish books to get.
