Been playing backgammon mostly against the computer for years and was thinking about how I might do pip counts if playing in-person.

The idea came to me to use base 6 for counting (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11...) in order to make grouping things easier.

It occurred to me this might be easier if using "time math." So consider each pip to be 10 minutes. A checker on the 2 point would be 20 minutes, a checker on the 5 point would be 50 minutes, a checker on the 7 point would be 1 hour and 10 minutes.

You could get the "hours" of each pip by looking at the quadrant, and the "minutes" by looking at its position in the quadrant and have a relatively intuitive way to sum things.

I'm a supporter on MaximumFun. How do I get access to the discord? I've been able to find the bonus content feed OK, but none of the other things mentioned like the discord, ambient Bargie noise, ringtones, etc.

SUSD had some positive things to say in their last video. Curious if others have tried it solo. It has a lot of things I like: roll and write, short playtime, and unlockable content, but I see it's not very highly recommended for solo on BGG.

Are there any trackballs out there like this? Google search hasn't helped. I got a Jelly Comb (thumb ball) a while back, and while the ability to recharge it is really nice, I just don't seem to enjoy using it that much.

I'll be playing with my crew this weekend, and we're very used to Gloomhaven Helper. I've seen many posts about various apps, but I'd like to know which ones support Crimson Scales specifically.

It seems like it would be possible, but couldn't find many resources.

This one talks about blending then fermenting tomatoes, so I assume you could do the same thing but just add whole vegetables after blending.

A lot of the games I own largely use cards, but I've been looking for a more tactile experience.

The pieces from the Villainous series are pretty much what I'm looking for. They are heavy, nice to look at, and fairly thematic, and you get to move them every turn of the game.

Anyone know of any solo games with pieces like this?

I took DL a few semesters ago, and I'd really like to be able to rewatch the lectures after I graduate. I can still access them through Instructure for now, but I can't see an easy way to download them.

Has anyone gone through the work already or found another way to access them?

I don't have access to a printer, but I'd love to play physically. Has anyone used a print shop with good results? Did you have to modify the original Gloomholdin' files when you sent them?

I don't think this was even porn, more of a funny video. The girl is doing a vlog and I believe was speaking Dutch. She shows off the packaging of some yoga pants and says the word "exciting" in English. When she shows off the pants, she turns to the side and her butt sags over the edge of the pants. She looks uncomfortable and quickly shuts the camera off.

It was popular enough on Reddit that it had quite a few comments. Many people talking about how the language sounded very similar to English.

The dish towels I've had in the past often leave small fibers on dishes when drying them. They also tend to not be thick enough to use as potholders.

These things are impossible to test before buying, does anyone have recommendations?

I'm trying to get combos to work on my planck. I pulled down the latest from the qmk repo and copied the examples from the page into my setup.

I get this error when I try to run make:
