I was wondering whether others had the same. I am doing a PhD at the moment, but already during my master's I started feeling like this. After working for a day, I don't have energy for my hobbies anymore (making music, reading about science, philosophy...). All I can get myself to do is reading a not too complicated book or watch Netflix.

Sometimes during the day, when I start thinking about something complicated, trying to prove something or trying to understand a paper that is not very clearly written (there are way to many papers like this), I have to take many breaks in between because it is tiring for me.

Does anyone have the same thing? Does it get better? I really want to have more

For a while I have been living in Japan, in the countryside, and I realized that I do not like living the countryside that much. I can reach big cities such as Osaka and Kyoto, or also Nagoya and Kobe, with the train for a reasonable prize within a reasonable time, so my plan was to go there sometimes on the weekends. It would be great if I could find some people to hang out with. But since I do not actually live there it is a bit hard for me to find friends. Any tips? Or perhaps people here?

I am in my mid-twenties, I like music a lot (my favourite Japanese bands are OOIOO, Melt-banana or Jabberloop but I like a lot of things), I like to talk about many things, go to bars or clu

Does anyone know a good website or something to find concerts happening in Japan? I was used to using Songkick but for Japanese concerts this is not ideal (they miss a lot, especially in the noise-scene).

Somewhat related: is there a website for events? Such as art-exhibitions, or anything that is happening really. I'm not only interested in Tokyo.

Your advice is appreciated :)
