I've played Warhammer, and while I still love Blood Bowl, I've had my fill of GW and their predatory horsesh*t. I thought I would get into Konflikt '47, but after my last experience with Warlord Games' customer service, I've got over $1k of K47 models I'll never put together or paint. I'm more into fantasy/sci-fi style games than conventional or historical. I used to be into Fletcher Pratt, played that with 1/700 scale ship models, but I'm too old and broken to crawl around on the floor any more. I'm not a good painter, but I try. I'm looking forward to your recommendations. Thanks, and sorry for the wall of text.

It doesn't matter what language I use, some things the AI just absolutely refuses to implement on imagine prompts.
I'm trying to come up with a portrait of a new D&D character. Warforged, with two electric blue eyes without pupils that are not symmetrically aligned, one also larger than the other. Every picture has eyes on the same line, same size and pupils. Doesn't matter how many of the pictures I thumbs down, resubmit the prompt and get the same result.
Is it just me? Or is the AI getting worse and worse progressively about prompt adherence?
Hey all, like you I love mechanical keyboards. However, I can't build my own. Long covid did me in, my hands shake. Enough that using small tools on small parts is an exercise in frustration.
I am old and crap, but I have a bit of money, so I splurged and bought an Azio retro classic BT keyboard. Full size. I loved the look with the copper accents and all. It's been a great keyboard. Until now. The battery has swollen, forcing me to try and remove it with my shaky hands. But what this post is really about is the complete lack of support and unprofessionalism I received from Azio.
I never claimed they made a defective product. I didn't want a warranty claim. I just wanted to purchase
So, a few weeks ago I bought a new 941 FS. Finally had the chance to go shooting over the weekend and had a very fun time shooting the pistol, right out of the box. Put about 200 rounds or so through it and had no problems whatsoever.
Got home and started cleaning and found an issue. There's a burr on the bottom edge of the slidestop's back. And a day of shooting etched a nice little 1/8" line down to bare metal.
Contacted IWI CS. "Those scratches are normal wear for the Jericho." So... I'm not impressed, after hearing and reading lots of stories about great CS from them, I'm very disappointed.
The gun itself, is great. But someone didn't take a burr off the back of the slidestop
Last Thursday I opened the Taco Bell app on my phone and it popped up a message "Time For An Update." The small text underneath says it's time to change my password to keep my account secure and that I should click the button below to get instructions sent to my email address so I can change my password. Simple enough, I click the button.
I wait a few minutes, nothing. Wait a few more. Still nothing. I click resend and wait some more. Nothing.
Decide screw it, I'll mess with it later. I get home, try the app on my tablet. Same thing, same button, same result... nothing.
Figure, maybe I'm getting the email, just in spam or something. Checked mail rules, checked spam, even searched
I need the services of a gunsmith knowledgeable about, or having experience with, the Hudson H9. I've acquired an aluminum frame for mine and would like to switch over to using it. Hoping someone here either fits that description or knows someone who does?
I've been playing tabletop rpgs for a long time. Due to kickstarters and DriveThruRPG, I have a large number of pdf copies of books. I'm looking for an app to read them that is easy to use. I need the app to remember my place and let me bookmark spots in each book. The ability to organize them into folders by system or purpose would be nice, but is not crucial.
Here's what I've tried so far. Books is a mess. It just can't cope with a large number of files 2k+ at this point. And trying to organize them on the iPad Mini is a joke. Using the OS's own pdf viewer with Files is sort of okay as a reader, but doesn't remember your place and if you can bookmark places, I can't figure out how
When I go to bta3062.com I get a you must log in to see this page or any page on the domain. Anyone else having this issue?
I found this excerpt from an interview Isaac Butler did with Phil Alden Robinson on Slate. In it, there's this wonderful bit of him talking about drafts of the screenplay and thought there was a real gem of advice hidden in it.
Isaac Butler asked:
Do you have any idea how many drafts of the script you went through in the nine years you were working on Sneakers?
And Phil Alden Robinson responded with:
PAR: I have thirtysomething on my computer. There were more. There was one point, late in the process, when Walter and Larry said, “Let’s just do a draft as an experiment. Length be damned.
Hey all. New to black powder shooting and bought a nice New Model Navy imported by Cimarron to get started with.
I'm going to put together a small kit to take to the range, or out camping and I've got the revolver with me.
Anyone know the two screwdriver sizes for these? I've heard that the screw heads are easy to mar. I'd like to avoid that for as long as possible.
Thanks!
The last few days, my house has had a couple of brownouts. Up until this last one, they haven't been more than a momentary flicker. This last one, all my external drives (5) popped up with the error that they'd been disconnected without being ejected. Now, I can't get them to remount.
Disk Utility doesn't see them. I've rebooted the computer, it didn't change anything. I'm at a loss. I'm probably just missing something stupid easy, but I'm panicking at losing 15+ TB of stuff.
Suggestions, please?
Okay, so I have an extremely old phone. In November it will be 6 years old. It's a VZW Galaxy Nexus, aka Toro.
I'm running the latest nightly for Toro, 13.0-20170520.
I just switched over from the last reliable build of Cyanogenmod I had. Two issues I'm kinda hung up on and need advice/help with. I've not had much luck finding info on my own.
First, my notification light is always on and always blue. Even with notifications and the light itself turned off in Settings. New quality batteries are not that cheap and I don't have the money for a newer phone as is. How do I get that to stop?
Second, Cyanogenmod had this wonderful Blacklist add button right on the phone screen when you
So... I just fought a Tier X battle that was a complete clusterfuck. My team was killed off 12-0. The other team didn't lose a single ship.
I entered the battle. Asked about a plan, with about 20 seconds left on the clock. No one said a single thing. Nothing. No split up to go left or right. No AB or BC. Nothing. God damned nothing.
I was in a Bismarck. Which doesn't have all the modules bought yet. And at this point, I have no desire at all to finish out the line. I've got a Hipper too. So, I've seen a lot of Tier VIII - X battles. Yeah, this one just kinda put the cement icing on the cake. This was the last straw.
The only person on my team to say anything after the
