Got an email from our employer last week that our insurance group (a big collaborative of private colleges in my state) has had all weight loss medications, therapies, and procedures removed from our covered list, effective immediately. :( This is Anthem Healthkeepers, and the only thing that was covered prior to this was weight loss surgeries, but I was really hopeful that one Mounjaro was approved for weight loss it would be added to the covered lists, at least partially - currently I'm paying $575 per month for it until the coupon runs out in June.

I guess maybe this might be one way insurers will make sure some of us aren't able to get this drug in the US? So frustrating!

Quick question about the CAT test - I administered the 12th grade test (Academic Excellence, so the grade he’s going into) to my rising 11th grader today for proof of progress, and he got all the questions correct.

I know the CAT test is not the best assessment (and I’m really just using it for proof of progress, not to assess content), but I’m wondering if the test is the same every year for older kids and the expectation for the stanine gets higher, or if it gets more difficult. If it’s the same, I may switch. Anyone know?

So... my 15 year old son apparently found my Lamy 2000 (which I had taken out of my pen case because we were flying on a plane) and completely disassembled it - he screwed off the top part of the pen (which I didn't even know was an option), removed the nib unit, and then apparently immersed it all all in water to "clean" it for me. I found it a couple of weeks later when I went to put all of my pens back in their case and realized the part of the pen containing the nib was missing, and then found it sitting a few feet away.

I've tried to put it back together, and it's not the same - the cap doesn't seem to fit properly anymore and the top part doesn't seem to screw in correctly. The n

I've been looking for a lay-flat notebook that's not spiral-bound for a while now, and stumbled upon Denik notebooks in a web search. Ordered a custom lay-flat and it took almost two months to arrive and... it wasn't lay-flat? It looks like a regular thermal bound notebook (that I could have made myself with my thermal binder).

I contacted the company and they asked for pictures, so I sent them pictures of the notebook next to a true lay-flat (a Blackwing Slate) as well as a video of me trying to get the notebook to flatten, and they told me that they'd made a mistake and sent me the wrong notebook. They printed another one and it arrived a couple of days ago, and it's exactly the sam

So, my son is in the 10th grade this year and is taking two AP courses through Power Homeschool (AP Bio and AP US History). I received my acknowledgement of Intent to Homeschool (I'm in Virginia) and there was a list of AP exams that is apparently able to take through our local school district. Both are options that are offered in our home district this year, and he could take either one at the high school he would have gone to if he was in public school

I'm thinking about having him take at least one of them this year to see how he does - anyone have experience with that? Did your homeschooler do anything to prepare for the exam other than taking the AP course? Is it possible to take

I received a letter from the IRS saying we didn't pay our 2020 tax bill, with a bill for the balance owed + interest and fees. We've paid the bill; I can see on my irs.gov portal where it's been paid in full, on the day before taxes were due this year. I'm pretty sure the IRS applied the payment to our 2021 estimated taxes rather than using it to pay our 2020 amount owed, in error.

From an internet search, I've found that this is a fairly easy problem to fix if you can talk to someone at the IRS - sounds like they just apply the payment to the correct tax year and we're good (we won't owe any additional taxes in 2021 if I've done my calculations correctly). However, I'v

Hi All!

First of all - thank you, thank you, thank you to this group for all that you do. As a 44 year old woman I JUST got bras athat fit me properly (and make me feel good, too!) this year, and I owe it to all to things I've learned here. I appreciate you!

Now, a request for advice. I have a super-cute shirt that I would love to wear, but I need a strapless bra in order to wear it. I have a relatively large chest and have breastfeed 3 kids, so things are a bit... saggy. I wear 38FF UK/38H, and my best fitting of all my bras is Elomi Cate, in the size above.

Does anyone have any advice for what brand/type I might start looking at for a strapless bra that fits, is supportive, and th
