I recently began working for a company under a salary, so I don’t clock in or out. There is no maximum number of hours that I can work, however there is a minimum of 40 hours per week of work.
I don’t understand this. Many other places don’t have such a policy. You come in, get your work done, and go home. If you finish early, you finish early, and you can come and go as you please, provided you finish your work. What is the point of having a minimum hourly requirement for salaried employees? Is this a common practice?
Ukrainian cross-country skier Kaminska suspended after positive dope test
reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/ukrainian-cross-...Posted this to r/relationship_advice and it didn’t get many replies so I’m going to try it here. It’s really something that’s bothering me.
Sounds like a stupid title but hear me out. We’ve only been dating for about 2 months now but I’ve known her vaguely for a few years before that through some mutual friends. Everything is going well, and I definitely enjoy spending time with her. But I just cannot make her laugh as hard as her friends can and it’s eating away at me. I’ll hang out with her friends (or my friends) and she’ll just be cracking up at literally anything they do. Meanwhile, when we hang out alone, it feels like I have to use every fiber of my being to get a chuckle out of her.

I’m not sure if she feels the same way, but I also don’t know if it’s just my ego or if it’s an actual issue.
Now, I can understand this if
I’m not an expert skier by any means, but I do want to get better and try out new terrain. I feel pretty comfortable with mini-sends and pretty much any other terrain, but I have yet to do tricks and send it off cliffs.
So to everyone who does dope cliff drops, how do you start practicing? Do you scope out the trail beforehand to see what’s on the other side of the cliff? How do you land on such an impact?
Sincerely,

So, this is the situation. A wife left the house in the afternoon after informing her husband beforehand. She left for a few hours. While she was gone, the husband, under the influence, lodged an ice scraper under the door and tied some wire between the deadlock and the handle to prevent the wife from entering the house. Assume we know that the husband wanted his wife to stay at home, but she left anyway.
It was like -30F outside when this happened. Obviously, this is dangerous weather to be stuck outside without proper protection. But I have a few questions.
Firstly, does a spouse have any kind of authority, legally speaking, over the other in terms of where they go or what they do? Secon
So, ASU has an emergency short-term loan option in the case of unexpected financial circumstances for students. I have never really heard of anyone taking this loan, so I don't know what the interest rate is, what the payback deadline is, and other details. Weirdly, the site doesn't provide that many details: Emergency short-term loan application | ASU Students | ASU
Has anyone on here used this loan before?
Basically the title. I have a DDJ-400 and I use Tidal to manage some of my music. It works fine, but in the Tidal menu in Rekordbox, there isn't a column for music key information (1A, 2A, etc). This obvously doesn't help when I am trying to mix in key.
Does anyone know of a way to display the song key information, or if there is some extension out there that could do it for me?
So I currently don’t “own” any tracks. I’m a student on a tight budget and I can’t really afford to subscribe to DJ pool services. I currently use Tidal with Rekordbox and my DDJ-400 which means all my music is stored in the cloud. That being said, I am interested in subscribing to a DJ pool in the future when I get some more income.
Suppose I subscribe to one of these unlimited services and start downloading music. If I decide to cancel my subscription, will I be allowed to keep the music? In other words, do the files save as local music files on my computer, or is it more like a traditional subscription service where the music disappears from my library after I cancel?

I have tons of dry grass around my house from previous summers. I live in the northern part of the US, so summers are short, and every year we just let the grass grow in certain parts on our property. Then autumn rolls around, the grass dies, and is covered with snow.
Which means, every spring, the thawing snow exposes multiple years' worth of long, dry, dead grass. Not only is this a fire hazard, but it makes the property look pretty bad.
Raking all of it up and throwing it away would be extremely daunting, since we have a lot of land and there is TONS of old grass. Does anyone know of a method to get rid of it quickly? I have heard of propane weed burners, but as far as I can tell, these
Basically the title. I am making Ghormeh Sabzi (an Iranian herb and meat stew) for my dad's birthday, and the recipe asks for the stew to simmer closed for 1.5 hours after the last ingredients are added. I can understand why a stew or sauce would need to be simmered with no lid - to let some water evaporate and thicken it up.
But what actually happens when it's covered? I know from experience that stuff tends to thicken up anyway, but where does the water go? What does covered simmering actually do for a dish?
