Hello,
I currently have 1 YoE at my current job as an IT support specialist and am trying to change my career into systems administration. I know it can require more YoE to achieve this, and my current manager essentially confirmed there isn't a way for that right now or for the foreseeable future, and won't even let me do some of the projects I've suggested.
My question is if I switched jobs, how does this affect my career progression? I already do some tasks related to jr system administration and since it's a smaller company, I already do more than what my role asks for. Will I be starting off from "zero" or will it have an actual effect when I transition to a sys admin role.
With the
Hi all,
I am currently an IT support technician with a comp sci degree and have been for ~1 year. I do Tier 1 and some Tier 2 support and am looking to get into system admin. I dip my toes in a bit of everything including networking and I also work in GPO / Microsoft admin center (though very basic, but I work closely with my network admin who has a lot of the access). I know networking is apparently very important and I won't say I'm very knowledgeable about it but I have some knowledge and can understand / follow along.
My financial situation is not the greatest. I have enough of course, but I'd rather not spend on anything I don't need. I've heard CCNA is really good, but I'm not sure

My financial situation is not the greatest. I have enough of course, but I'd rather not spend on anything I don't need. I've heard CCNA is really good, but I'm not sure if it's worth it for me. Of course it won't hurt to get but I'm just trying to see if the benefits outweigh the work / money.
Thank you!
Hi all,
I have around a year of experience as an IT Support Technician. I also have a degree in comp sci. I've been contemplating whether it's a good idea to get the CCNA (money is also kind of tight, but I can afford it if it's worth).
I want to end up in the sys admin field and eventually into cloud infra engineering. I was wondering if it's worth to do? As for experience, my current job has me doing a little bit more than help desk imo (I'm not sure, but I've helped with networking plus managing). I've read mixed answers from both sides but wanted some more specific advice regarding my current situation.
Thanks!
Hi all,
Does anyone have any recommended photographers based in HoChiMinh City that speak English? I am traveling there soon and am looking for a photographer to catch my proposal.
Also, I've looked at some places, but was wondering if there are any private + potentially close to a body of water places to propose around Ho Chi Minh?
Thank you all! If this isn't the right place to ask, sorry.
Hi,
I graduated with a CS degree and have been employed as a IT Support Specialist for around half a year now. My end goal is being a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.
Recently, I've been feeling a little bit lost or maybe overwhelmed? I feel like it's a mix of impatience and uncertainty if what I'm doing or plan on doing is not the best way to quickly move up the ladder. I know there is no "real" path to get there and there's many different ways, but I just don't want to waste any more time than I have to if that makes sense. Ive read threads where people get there in a year or some type of cloud role and others where they are saying that it will take 5 years minimum, etc. Some say you need
I'm looking for recommendations for open earbuds that would be good for every day use + sports.
I've always liked the ones with no clips/ring (like Samsung Galaxy Buds 3), but I also would like to use it for sports and working out, which I know will most likely fall out, but if there is one that might not, please let me know.
The big things that I'm looking for that it would be good for is:
- Able to handle sports/working out (I do a lot of snowboarding, and if they fall out they'll essentially be gone)
- comfortable for every day use in the office
- Gaming
- prefer <$100, but I don't mind seeing other options over 100.
I've looked at some earbuds like Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open, Sound
Is there anywhere I can buy these again? Tried grabbing the Arctis Nova 7+ and the sound was terrible and Im gonna return them. If you can't buy them anywhere, how is the sound for the arctis 7+ compared with the arctis 5? Is it the same?
Thank you
As the title says, Im looking for a place in Calgary that I can rent snowboard gear with goggles. The actual ski mountains rental gear cost too much and I heard that renting a day before in Calgary is a lot cheaper. However, I tried searching up places but none of them include ski goggles!
Does anyone know a place where I can rent gear and goggles? Or just goggles?
Thanks!
So this is for rerollers and I am not too sure if anyone else has posted this, but you CAN change your name after you get your reroll. However, I am not too sure how. I know you can because I have done it until I got the characters I wanted but I have not tested how you are able to. So if anyone could test this, it would be great!

(What I think is how you are able to change name after 1-10) Creating a Stove account. This is even in the FAQ of it. You dont need to create a 2nd account if you dont get the reroll you want, you can just reset your data in the settings for that stove account. By doing this, you should be able to have a but
After reading a majority of comments on whether Archers or Dart Goblin should be buffed, I believe that they should put a trophy requirement for voting on balance changes. Now, this may seem unfair, but these are BALANCE CHANGES. They are meant to balance the game and should not be affected by people who do not know what they are talking about. Most of the people in the lower trophy ranges voting are very biased because I think they just want their card to be buffed and not the card itself. Of course with this change, there will still be some bias, but it will limit it.
Also, for this community vote, I think they should put a "Balance neither" vote, because I
Hi! I need a laptop recommendation for Computer Science. I was gonna get a chrome book, but my friends told me not to and to get a different laptop that will last and work well with computer science coding. What recommendations do you guys have or is there any laptops you used that worked well for you?
