Recently saw Y Tu Mama Tambien and Amores Perros for the first time, and was wondering if there were any other Spanish films like them? It doesn't have to be from Mexico, but I do prefer at least Latin American (example: the secret in their eyes) as it's easier for me to understand, but not a big deal if there are solid recs from Spain (assuming Almodovar).

I would prefer something more crime adjacent or at least thriller-esque, but as long as there's tension to a degree that's ideal. Thanks! Also, I understand Portuguese, so I am open to Brazilian cinema, but have seen Cidade de Deus (CIty of God). Thanks for any recs!

Recently went through John Woo's filmography and watched A Better Tomorrow, Hard Boiled, The Killer, and Bullet in the Head. I loved all of them and so decided to check out Made in Hong Kong and Johnnie To's Exiled, which were both phenomenal. Are there any other films like them, doesn't have to be from Hong Kong, but would like to stick to foreign films. Thriller is a plus but not a requirement as long as there is some element of suspense. I've seen Wong Kar Wai's films and The Raid movies. I am trying to stay away from comedies like Police Story at the moment. I would appreciate the help, major bonus points for neon cities and morally grey characters!

A list of things I wish they included.

-Reese cooking at least once.

-Craig with a new Jellybean.

-A mention of Cynthia, Allison, Polly, or Jessica, at least.

-Malcolm talking about his time as a janitor.

-Some talk about how Stevie's decision to skip college and how it panned out for him in terms of his actual career.

-An actual scene between Reese and Malcolm that felt actually heartwarming.

Looking for more horror comedies recs that dont rely on a lot campiness (ie. evil dead, frankenhooker). Im not against camp at all, but want something more thriller-esque like this years Send Help, but with potentially a lot more horror. Thanks!

Did anyone catch the new Terrifier 4 poster? Wish I could post here but nope. Go check it out on the letterboxd page! https://letterboxd.com/film/terrifier-4/

Sienna's going to hell?!?!

I knew we were going to get some morbid Army of Darkness-like sequel in hell!

Does anyone happen to know if this is the last one? I read that Leone had two more about to finish his story, but I am not sure if he was including 3 or not when he said that.

Binged the Terrifier franchise last week and am obsessed. Are there any other slashers like it? I am looking for ones with actually good final girls, like Sienna, doesn't have to be as gory as this. Thanks!
