Alright yeah, maybe ranking things is a little mean-spirited, but because this sub is new and since we here on reddit love ranking things, I'm posting this question anyway.
Leave a comment ranking the U.S. Girls albums you've listened to!
Which album did you come across first? And is it still your favorite, or have you moved on?

This sub is very new, but I plan to post relevant U.S. Girls news and updates here. I would also love this to be a space for people to share stories from live performances they've been to. Any posts regarding Meg Remy and U.S. Girls are welcomed, as long as they aren't disrespectful or overly parasocial!
Hey, so I recently bought 16.4 ft version of this cable on amazon.
I'm trying to use it to power and send data to my 1080p 60hz portable monitor, from my M4 Mac Mini. However, it seems like the cable will only send data OR power, never both at once.
Is this just the wrong cable? It powers up the monitor on its own, but won't send any data. Only if I connect an outside power source to the monitor will the cable send display data. I've tried every available USB-C port, and yes it is in the correct direction.
Hi, I few months back I impulse-bought these grape string lights from goodwill (I just really like grapes), but they were unmarked and came without a power supply, and no tag/markings to speak of. Since then I've bought two replacement power supplies (both 12V, one .5amp and one 1amp), and with both, the lights lit up very dimly if at all.
I was hoping someone would have advice for how to figure out what kind of power supply to get... Thanks

What if they're adding Mayym Jhomen Tethi (Akali's mom) to the game at some point down the line? This would be an explanation as to why they didn't add any new lines to Akali's short-ass VO, since they'd be saving all the new lines for when her lore moves forward when Mayym is added to the game. Akali has a lot of issues stemming from Mayym's neglect of her, so their banter would be pretty interesting.
I don't think this is very plausible, but I'm honestly just hoping this or something like this is the case, because otherwise I think that the VO swap is completely unjustified.
Anyways, ignoring the whole VO thing, it would be really cool to have a champ with the "Fist of Shadow" title in
Riad: The Outcast of the Oasis
Who is this guy?: Riad is a Shuriman Lizard Vastaya who is adept at camouflaging into his surroundings. He looks like he’s about 16 in human years and was trained to be a lethal killer in the name of protecting his very insular community. Now, he’s on a quest to save his home, which happens to be a magical oasis that is also invisible. Did I mention that he has a dagger that can turn into a slingshot? Yeah.
No, I meant, what is this guy?: Oh, whoops. He’s an AD assassin, and he’s as squishy as you’d expect one to be. His attack range is 200. Honestly, he’d make a decent jungler or midlaner depending on how you tune him. His level 6 gank
This is a short, character-focused story set in a fictional desert landscape.

Mischa wants to tell his mother one last thing; then he remembers a story she once told him about pain and perseverance.
I have no particular focus for you. For the first time ever basically, I want to put all of my time and energy into making this story as polished as it can be (in my hands). My goal is for it to be better, so very little is off limits for you to critique.
As always, thank you for your time and effort! And happy writing! It usually takes me a couple days to respond to crits, but I will!

Hello!
This submission is a trio of three mini stories, and I'm trying to decide which one I would like to use as a sample that I send to potential team members, employers, and critique partners. Basically, I want something short that gives people a good idea of how I write. I haven't narrowed it down yet, which is where you come in! I'm hoping that some feedback will help me decide.

Beyond the normal critique stuff I'd really appreciate if you kept the following things in mind while reading:
- What are moments that feel unpolished/unprofessional?
- Which stories show my strengths
