I’m 3 months post op and feel like my scar is still just SO red! I see pictures of other people who are also a couple months post op and their scars already look so much better than mine. I was sewn up with dissolvable stitches, hence the little bumps outlining the scar. I have been using scar gel since my surgeon cleared me to do so and wear sunscreen on it when I’m outside. Also, is it normal that it burns when touched? Even lightly?

Hi all! I had a fairly lower dose of RAI (30mci) 4 days ago. I was told by nuclear medicine that I only needed to isolate for 2 days, but I did 4 days just to be on the safer side! My parents were able to take my dog for 2 days and the other 2 days my husband stayed home and kept my dog occupied so she wasn’t crying at my bedroom door for me. However, I just came out of isolation and my dog wants NOTHING to do with me. Normally her and I are two peas in a pod and attached at the hip! I don’t want her to be around me much for the next couple of days anyway just as a precaution, but I was so excited to come out of isolation and be able to see her! I guess I was expecting a grand reunion and no

I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer last week. I would like to be in community with others who are going through similar challenges and I know there's a lot of knowledge I need to gain to better advocate for myself at upcoming appointments. I attempted to join the Papillary Thyroid Cancer Support group on Facebook and after adequately answering all the entrance questions, my request was denied. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this?

28 year old female This is a long one, but I wanted to post my story here because when I was going through my waiting period I felt like I didn’t see any stories quite like mine and hope I can help someone else! My thyroid nodule was first discovered in 2022 by accident at a walk in clinic when I was being tested for strep throat. The walk in clinic doctor referred me to have an ultrasound of the nodule done due to the larger size she felt upon examination. I had the nodule ultrasound in June of 2023 and the nodule measured 4.0x2.1x2.5cm and was predominantly solid. I was referred for a FNA biopsy, which thankfully came back benign! I had been having regular ultrasounds done on the nodule ev

Hi everyone! 28 year old female here.

I have been having regular ultrasounds done on the nodule every 6 months for follow up.

In June 2024 my nodule measured 4.1x2.2x.2.5cm, so not much had changed and I was told by the radiologist that I could start doing ultrasounds
