Hi all, please be kind, this has been a really hard and long thought out decision… I’m still not there emotionally yet. With the rising costs of life, my pup (6years old now) has been harder and harder to keep up with. My boy has severe allergies that started around the age of 2 and progressively got worse. He is allergic to everything across the board and is on monthly cytopoint shots, hypo. Prescription vet food, Apoquel, trazodone for his severe separation anxiety as well as the occasional round of antibiotics for his flare ups. With everything else in the world going up in costs, and the fact that we also have children, this hasn’t been an easy cost to stomach the last year or so. I’m fi

I feel like I hear and see it all over the place that women won’t date under 6’… like, how unrealistic and shallow. You’re immediately cutting out the larger portion of the available men out there, not considering quality of character or who they are as a person. I’ve met a lot of good looking men under 6’ and never once even thought about it as an “issue”. My husband is relatively the same height as me, maybe even an inch or two shorter, and he’s the most attractive man I’ve ever met. What gives with this crap these days? I understand physical attraction obviously is a factor when dating, but that doesn’t even really correlate to height so much I feel… thoughts?

Recently traded in to a dealer in my town. It has 60,000km on it. I know I’ve seen it previously on another site for sale around 44k (Canada). Have to see what dealer is looking to get for it now, but what would be a reasonable price for this?

I’m finally caving and thinking of giving up the pickup for an SUV. My only thing is, that it has to be at least a 6 or 7 seater. I was really hoping for a GMC Yukon, but I hate the price tag. I could buy used, but the interest rates are so high for used that it’s almost damn near the same as buying new (depending how old obviously) which defeats the purpose. I then started spitballing about a Volkswagen Atlas, so I may go take a look at one of those. They seem to be decently priced as far as a large SUV goes. I’ve always driven trucks, so I don’t really know too much about which ones are the “good” ones if you will. Any suggestions on SUV’s that you love/loved? Help a mom out over here. Tha

I posted a little bit ago about how to dip my toes into the tiling world and it was suggested practicing on my kitchen backsplash somewhere. I have been spitballing doing the backsplash myself a little before that, so I think I’m just going to pull the trigger on it. What are some beginner friendly consumables as far as thin set, grout, etc that I could use for this? Something that would give me a little room for error would be nice, something that doesn’t set too fast? Very new to this, so be kind, lol. Thanks!

Hi all,

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at tiling, and wondering if there are any tips or certain tools I should have? Just basic of course to see what I can do, but I’m not sure of things that I should definitely have and some things that I could maybe do without as far as fiddling around goes. I know it won’t be particularly easy and I’ll probably mess up my fair share of times, but I just love how it all comes together. It really can look beautiful and I’d be super happy to try and take a stab at it. Any mistakes I should learn to avoid off the hop also? I’m artistic and pay attention to detail, so hopefully that can work out in my favour.

Thanks in advance!

Hi all,

First post here. I brought home a few flowers, mostly just petunias in hanging baskets and planters this past week. Since then, I’ve noticed a huge uptick in green bottle flies. Do they feed off the flowers or something? I have morning glories all around my back deck where the flowers are also and they’ve been all over those as well. It’s become very annoying trying to go and sit outside now because all I hear are swarms of flies. Is this common? I’ve never dealt with this before. Should I be dealing with this as an issue or does anyone have tips to get rid of them?

Thanks!

This year will be the first that my dad will spend without his own dad, my grandpa. He passed just before Christmas. My dad is not someone who shows feeling beyond surface, not to say he’s stone cold or anything, he just keeps his cards close to the chest. I’ve never seen him cry, or voice that he was sad or upset once in my entire life, he’s always been the “rock”. With Father’s Day around the corner though, he’s been sending me pictures of my grandpa… I can just tell that this is going to be hard on him, wether he shows it outwardly or not. I miss my grandpa dearly, he was a huge part of my childhood, you would be hard pressed to find someone more selfless and kind in this world than he wa

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone knows of some back road trails around the outskirts that I might find to walk my dog? My dog is not dog friendly, so I’m hoping to find some less popular areas to take him.

Thanks!

I’m not entirely sure why I’m feeling this way… I never had daycare for my oldest, mostly because I had a lot of family support. My second, I did not have a lot of family living close by, and work became a lot between my husband and I, so I found an amazing provider that also happened to live a few streets over. This was perfect for us and I felt super comfortable sending my kid there until she started kindergarten. Husband and I had one more baby (our last), and made the decision to enrol him with the same provider when he reached about 1.5 years old. Well, the amazing provider we had, had decided to persue other avenues in life and closed down about a month or two after we had started our
