I want to say how blown away I am with the weather effects in this game. Sometimes I take it for granted, and then realize what I'm seeing and hearing, and how much more real and immersive it is than in any other game I've played. It's just another example of the quality of the design and engineering of this game.
Just for example, I was skulking along beneath an outdoor walkway during a rainstorm, and noticed a rivulet of water running off the deck. Part of me is just yeah, of course there'd be water running off the deck, then I realized HOLY SHIT, THERE'S EVEN WATER RUNNING OFF THE WALKWAY! Damn!
I mostly play Solo, but I think this would work well for Trios too.
We all know how important sound is in this game, and that having a gunfight, with other players or UESC can be deadly because it draws other players in.
What if we took advantage of this and had a decoy noisemaker deployable. It could wait 10-15 seconds after deploying and then start playing the sound of a gun fight. A player or team could deploy this and move, to try to trap another team, or to simply draw them away from where you need to do some shooting.
For example, Contract says kill a Commander. Great, I'll kill him and half the map will show up. But if I drop the decoy at a different POI, I might be able to draw
Late last night (EST) I was making Rook runs to gather salvage. I was finishing a run on Dire Marsh and went to Quarantine. There I saw a team and they saw me at the same time. They called out on Prox, so I said "Hey, just a little Rook here". They said, hey we saw a bunch of Rooks up this way, there are some bags from some guys we killed. We'll escort you so no one kills you." So I'm running with this team, and I think there was a rook with them? (Everyone was moving fast). We get to Greenhouse, I loot a bag they led me to, and there are other rooks there. They activate exfil and all go out together. I never did get to count how many people were there, seemed to be more than 5. We were laug
Firefox updated itself tonight and when I relaunched it none of my windows or tabs reopened. There was no option to reopen closed tabs. I checked history, and it was completely empty. I followed some troubleshooting and checked the history settings in Privacy and Security settings, and it had apparently decided to turn on "Clear history when Firefox closes". I did NOT turn that on myself, because I always want my previous session restored.
I don't suppose there is any way to get all those tabs and windows back now, if it decided to explicitly erase history? I had hoped I might be able to restore places.sqlite from a drive backup from just a couple of days ago, but it turns out that
I keep wanting to run my contracts in Dire Marsh, but it seems to have been locked the last couple of days. Does anyone know why?
I'm kind of confused about Rooks and what matches they join. You can't choose, and I seem to be most often joining Solo matches. Especially on Outpost, I'd rather join Trios matches. Does anyone know if this is random, or is it based on the last kind of match you chose as a regular shell?
I figured I'd post this here since I looked it up anyway and Steam had no patch notes:

We have pushed a small hotfix, v1.1.2a, to address a critical issue with the Shelter Inside button being missing over Town Center rebuild sites.
Patch notes to save you a click...

v1.1
[Major New Features]
Gridless build mode is now enabled by default. You can now place all buildings off the grid in any orientation you desire by holding the Left Mouse Button during placement, with some allowance for overlap between building footprints for more organic settlements. Classic Grid build mode can be toggled at any time with a hotkey. Note: due to the pathing solution used in Farthest Frontier, the initial implementation of gridless building still requires that Bridges, Crop Fields, and Walls still be placed on the grid.
A new Guided Start option is now enabled by default when starting your

This is the finance sector. In a world where the real economy generates $105 trillion/year, the financial derivatives market adds up to $667 trillion/year. This is "the biggest business in the world" – and it's useless. It produces nothing. It adds no value.
If you work a job where you do something useful, you are on the losing side of this economy. All the real money is in this socially useless, no-value-creating, hypertrophied, metastasized finance sector. Every gain in finance is matched by a loss. It all amounts to – literally – nothing.
So that's
It looks like an interesting selection of weapons and armor in this warbond. Is it actually worth it if I know and care nothing about Killzone?
I'm looking for a good Honda mechanic to work on my pretty old car. The mechanics I've been using don't seem to be able to resolve issues. Does anyone have someone they recommend? Thanks!
This finish is over 30, probably over 40-50 years old. It is applied over plaster lathe wall. Does anyone know what it is/is called? And does anyone have any tips on removing it? It is removing itself, but too slowly...
This is a long shot to try to find the owner of this ring. I think it was lost a long time ago (but since 2000 based on inscription). My dog was digging along the path on the embankment to the Orange Line tracks, and in the dirt and leaves I found a wedding ring. It has a date in in, but unfortunately there does not seem to be a way to look up weddings in the state by date. Assuming the owner is from Massachusetts anyway.
If you can tell me the inscription in the ring I'd love to return it to you.
I've lived here for years, and I've never understood why Medford, which has a rich colonial and revolutionary history (I mean, Paul Revere rode through here!) has cowboy themed sports teams? I mean, mustangs refer to feral western horses. So how did we end up with western themed sports teams? Does anyone know the history of the team name?
