Hello. Feel like I’ve been away from this scene for years (2015, 1st gen fire stick days with TVMC and Genesis).
Just wanted to see if there are a few reliable movie/tv show sources with HD that have linksnappy support. And maybe some live stuff too, with linksnappy….if that’s even possible. I guess I’m considered a newb for being off the field for so long.
Using fire cube 2 and a fire stick max. Kind of looking to stay away from the bloaty builds, but I’m open to them if it makes things easier. I have no idea what version of kodi people are using these days for this sort of thing. Any advice is appreciated.
Not sure what changed. I think tinfoil auto updated to v15. Could that be the problem? Does hbmenu need to be updated? I’m a bit of a noob to this. Thanks for any help.
Atmosphere v1.3.2 E System v14.1.2
A certain game, it seems (binding of Isaac), suddenly makes my Xbox one controller with 8bitdo adapter stop working. It doesn’t work again unless I reboot. It will work and then stop again when I play this game. I’ve tried both v1 and v2 8bitdo adapters along with two different xbox one controllers. Same results.
It wants to reconnect. I even get the rumble and the solid light like it is connected. Very strange. I would appreciate any help if anyone is familiar with the issue.
I’m asking here because I’m using atmosphere on the emunand, and that’s all I’ve ever used (thanks to this sub)
Coming from Xbox One Dead Cells, I’m pretty disappointed with the frame rate on my Apple TV. Strange thing is that the game runs better on my 5th Gen iPad with the older A9 chip. And there are no video options to change frame rate on Apple TV version like there is on the iPad. Any way to improve the frame rate?
I’m using a pair of gen 3 Echo cans paired to an Echo Sub. By itself it sounds good. But once I incorporate the fire tv stick and run a Home Theatre setup, the maximum volume is about 30% lower.
I tried using a pair of gen 2 echos too. Same result.
Is this normal? Is it my fire stick? I’m not happy with the way this sounds at all.
I first posted this in the Fire TV sub. No help there. Hoping someone has some advice here.

Only happens during commercials. Tried reinstalling the app. Still occurs. I just switch channels to bring it back to normal. Doesn’t do this on any other Fire TV devices in the house. Very strange behavior. Anyone experience this or have any tips?
UPDATE: A factory reset did clear up this problem. ATTNow works fine after the reset.
It doesn’t matter if I cast from iOS or Android, on both the 2015 and 2017 shield, I only get picture. I get no sound. All other casting works fine. It seems to be only with directv now. It’s been this way (for me) for years.
It’s bad enough that there is no official dtvnow app, but without this functionality, my shield sits in a corner and does nothing but run a Plex server.
Little help?
I use Spotify (and will always) because the iOS app has fantastic Echo integration. I can pick the music, pick which Echos to play on, and adjust the volume right from my phone without saying a word.
But I would love to see a Fire TV or Roku app that allows this useful integration while seeing what’s playing (or displaying lyrics/info) on my TV.
I have 4 FTVs and each display will never shut off because, after 30 minutes of inactivity, the FTV always sends a (blank) hdmi signal.
For example, my Apple TV and Android TV go to sleep and turn off hdmi signal—which makes my tv turn off due to hdmi inactivity.
After several years of fire tv devices and OS updates, why does the sleep functionality operate in this way?
I sold my SATV which had a decent Android gaming library and got a FTV2 Box (i know, it's a big step back). I'm trying to see if it's possible to get some of these games running on my FTV (with appropriate google play store/services, of course).
So is there any way to get each apk from my Play Store library, without currently owning a SATV, to try on my aftv? I'm aware that the aftv doesnt have the horsepower for some of the games, but I'd like to try. Play Store won't let me download anywhere, so i can't extract the apk.
The playback options on Spotify for iOS are just fantastic. Like how I can use the app as a remote to play music through a single echo or a multi room group. So are there any other apps/services that also have this functionality?
