Currently renting in Maungawhau area. Our garden is pretty big and have worked hard to establish some native plants and cover beds so smaller weeds don’t continue to flourish. I’ve removed one minor jasmine infestation along our fence, but we’ve got a really bad one at the front of the property (growing over boundary line) and a bunch of moth plant and tradescantia along other boundary lines. I’ve asked repeatedly for our property manager to organise someone to help us clear the weeds but they won’t book anyone until after winter. These infestations are pretty bad and beyond my skills as a gardener and tools i have available. I’m also low-waged and work full time so don’t have the resource

Just saw a really bad fight on the intersection with a group of guys in middle of the road and one guy on the ground and another guy laying into him. No sign of cops and ambulance drove past and then turned down a different street. I hope the guy is okay and no one seriously hurt. Fucking awful

For me, I am super excited for the Viagra Boys show that’s aaaages away and also have been enjoying their new album. Have been listening to a lot of older local stuff recently like The Instigators and NZ compilations from the 80s
