I’m trying to diagnose my car as best as possible and I believe I may have a misfire. At idle I hop between 500-800RPMS. I also have loss of power at times where I press on the gas and it takes awhile before anything happens or just feels sluggish at times. The engine doesn’t sound at all the same as when I originally bought it. I don’t have a check engine light but I really don’t want to wait for that as my last car died on me with no warnings at all. I’m at 35,000 miles 2023 CX50 2.5S Premium Plus.
Also I feel like my engine “sputters” at low idles as well. when the rpm makes it way back to 800ish the sputtering stops and the low vibration felt within the car also disappears.
I have a 2023 Mazda CX-50 2.5S Premium Plus Naturally aspirated. I bought the vehicle with 13,000 miles on it with only 1 previous owner. I drive very spirited and very fast. At about 25,000 miles after an oil change. My engine is not the same at all. I’ve had three cars before this including a Mazda cx-5 turbo that I also drove very fast as well. The engine DOES NOT RUN the same. I change my oil at 4,500 miles. I’ve changed every fluid in the vehicle. The best way I can communicate the problem is loss of power and I feel and hear a very faint vibration coming from the engine all the way to the gas pedal. I race cars on my spare time and even play on simulators all the time and when I tell
Recently took my state exam for California on Thursday of May 29 and today is June 9th 2025, I have yet to see any update on Verify Credentials list. I scored a 75 preliminary and the reason why I’m nervous is my friend got a 79 and got his license in the mail in one week from Tuesday on the last week of May. He saw his updated in three days. Has anyone recently taken the ARRT exam in California or any other locations and seen it update this quick? How long did you have to wait to see your name updated and get your license.
So I’ve been seeing people having issues with the remote start and climate control. If you followed the steps and thinks it’s not working. Set everything up and roll down your window. Test out the remote start and put your hand in the car while the window is down. I co formed for myself that it actually works. It’s probably just so cold that I thought it didn’t work. Plus a moving car is gonna heat up faster than an idle one.
I have a CX-5 2016 Grand Touring 110k miles.
Took it into Mazda for a transmission fluid change. Approx 2-3 weeks later. Hard gear changes in Gears 1-3. More so like a grinding and very apparent when climbing hills.
How much should a repair cost when taking it in to Mazda if the transmission is getting replaced. Or maybe I need more transmission fluid.
