I've been working on an open-source input tool that goes beyond simple key → action shortcuts by allowing the same input to behave differently depending on how you interact with it.

Over time, that evolved into a system where different inputs are treated as events that can lead to actions, transitions and further input, depending on context and conditions. A single interaction can continue step by step, forming workflows rather than isolated shortcuts.

For example, an input can work normally most of the time, become a gesture trigger only near certain screen edges, behave differently in specific apps or browser tabs, or continue into a multi-step workflow.

Some of the core ideas:

Been working on this input system for a while.

It started as a system built around tap/hold, chords and custom modifiers, with mappings organized into layers and tied to layouts – with support for event chaining as a core feature that everything else builds on.

Over time it expanded into a more general interaction system.

Mouse gestures were added as a new type of event, with multi-zone recognition and configurable behavior – which turned out to be one of the more expressive parts of it. Mp4 demo:

They work alongside other event types and can also be used as part of chains.

Process-aware mappings were also

Built a Windows tool that lets you go beyond static layouts – input can behave differently depending on how you use it (tap/hold, chords, gestures, etc.)

It's not just remapping – you can chain events together into sequences with their own actions, and adapt input to different contexts, including per-layout assignments.

It also includes predefined layers for things like diacritics and language-specific characters, as well as some base-level custom layouts (mine included 😅) – not intended for full-time use, but useful as temporary setups or for exploring different approaches.

Everything is optional and modular – you can use only parts you need.

It's open source and only affects what you e

I think, shop hotkeys is a great and useful feature, but now it is impossible to use. Mainly due to the following:

  1. Shop has 16 items in the column, but the keys available are only for 15
  2. Can't reassign keys. To use you need to reach for the opposite side of the keyboard
  3. Group change from "upgrades" (A/S/D/F/G/H keys) to "secret shop" (C) not displayed (but triggered)
  4. Tooltips for the rows arranged unevenly (as for 15 rows without pinned items)
  5. Not supported ctrl-shift-/hotkey/ for queue of purchases. It's worked as shift-/hotkey/, and ctrl-shift-0 not working at all
  6. Not supported ctrl-alt-/hotkey/ for suggest items for buy
  7. No hotkeys for pinned items, guide items and "
