I've been sleep deprived lately because of work and college, and yesterday I had my first episode of sleep paralysis, I had no idea what it was and I thought it was just a really weird dream until my friends confirmed it to me, I sleep on my stomach and felt like something was sitting on my back and yeah... Today, literally like 30 minutes ago I tried to sleep so I could wake up for college, and guess what... Not even 20 minutes of being asleep, I already got another episode, this one wasn't as frightening (I'm not trying to mention the hallucinations or the voices I heard) but it for sure felt frustrating waking up again to this bullshit, after having slept so shortly. Just wanted to rant a

I took 50mg of diphenhydramine at 5:42 PM. Not 5:40. Not 5:45. I remember the exact time because I felt it deserved ritual precision. I placed the two pink pills on my tongue like holy wafers and swallowed them with lukewarm tap water. That’s when everything began to unravel.
At first, nothing happened. Rookie mistake—I let my guard down. I was scrolling Reddit when I heard it: a creak. Not a regular floor creak. A deliberate one. I turned slowly. Nothing. But it creaked again. I looked at the wall and whispered,
"If you’re real, give me a sign."
The wall did not respond. That’s how I knew it was listening.
Roughly twenty minutes in, my cat blinked twice in rapid succession. She never
Buenas muchachxs.
I'm sorry that I posted this story already in another subreddit, I just wanted to share it in both of them since this was a unique experience for me.
This just happened a couple minutes ago. It was so meaningful and special to me. I'm still thinking about how beautiful this was, and maybe you all could say that my brain is just seeking for patterns to cope with grief... but I feel like there's something deeper to it.
For context, my father passed away on Nov 3. That was the toughest day of my life, and I still think that's the worst thing that could have ever happened to me, since my father was the pillar of my life. He was my great friend — my only real friend, my support, my reason to do

That was the toughest day of my life, and I still think that's the worst thing that could have ever happened to me, since my father was the pillar of my life. He was my great friend — my only real friend, my support, my reason to do stuff, basically everything I had worth living. His death affected me silently. I didn't shed tears every day, but I felt the huge void he left in my
So yeah. After dealing with weird episodes of derealization for a while (you know, that distant, dreamlike feeling like reality’s on mute), I finally worked up the courage to reach out to my university’s psychological services—even during summer break. I wasn’t even expecting much, just wanted to talk to someone who could help me figure out what the hell is going on.
They gave me an appointment (without even asking if I wanted one yet, lol) and I went in open-minded, prepared, even kind of derealized at the time (which I figured was actually good—like, live demonstration time, right?).
And man. The whole thing lasted 10 minutes tops. I tried explaining my symptoms as best as I could, and
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because I’ve been experiencing this weird, unsettling feeling of derealization for several months now. It’s hard to describe exactly, but it’s like the world around me or even myself doesn’t feel real, like I’m in a dream or watching everything happen from a distance. This tends to happen mostly when I have time to think or when I’m not focused on something, like studying or being busy. Even right now, while writing this, it still feels kind of strange and unreal.
I’m 18, currently studying Social Work in college, and my life’s been pretty intense lately. My father passed away recently, and although I don’t feel like his death has deeply affected me in a typic
I didn’t go into it expecting much. Honestly, I just wanted a light buzz, nothing crazy. I’d smoked enough to know my limits. My friend had a distillate pen, and I took a couple puffs.
Fifteen minutes passed. Nothing.
I remember telling my friend, and he just frowned, said, “Weird. It should’ve hit by now.” So, thinking maybe it was just not enough, I took another big puff deeper this time. In that moment, I genuinely believed I had it under control.
Still, nothing seemed off yet. I felt light, maybe a little floaty, but still present. I told a friend I was hungry, and we stepped out to get an empanada before heading back to class.
But something shifted in the bathroom mirror. I looked
hey, have y'all ever seen a mango tree this big? it impressed me a LOT ngl
Hey everyone, I’m trying to remember a song and it’s driving me nuts. I don’t remember any lyrics or even the melody clearly (I tried humming it into Shazam/melody detectors but no luck 😂), but I do remember the music video a bit:
- It featured a realistic animated human face (drawing, I think)
- The environment around the face was constantly evolving—like it changed over time, maybe showing different natural elements or states
- The video had strong nature vibes, felt symbolic or metaphorical
- The song was slow, very chill and relaxing
- I think it was a male solo artist, not a band
- Genre-wise I’d guess indie, ambient, whatever, but definitely *not rock
