I was replaying pokemon red and chose charmander so I can put up a challenge and in boredom I went to fight brock with a level 11 Charmander.

I knew I was gonna lose but it was worth a shot. (Geodude is lv 12 and Onix is lv 14) I beat Geodude easily because it kept on using defense curl and it has terrible special stats so I was just spamming ember but Onix was a bigger challenge. He used tackle and bind a lot. Ember was effective and takes about 20% of his health. I was low after some tackles and the bind but he used bide which made me slide some Embers but I knew I was gonna die after he used tackle in the next two turns
