The polymerized oil layer on my cast iron pan started cracking. I tried reseasoning, but the cracking continued. Thus, I figured that the layer is too thick and possibly too weak. Solution: sand it all off!

I used 80 grit sanding paper and linseed oil, and sanded all the black stuff off. I'm seasoning it right now.

Is it standard practice to sand your cast iron frying pan? Or am I crazy?

Hello,

Does anyone know what kind of TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) the Miata ND uses? Is it a pressure-sensor based (e.g. Mazda 6) or ABS sensor based (e.g. Mazda CX-5)?
