I have been going to the same vet (on the Rockville Pike) for the last 10 years, and I have noticed the prices have shot up dramatically over the last couple of years. I initially attributed this to inflation and rising prices, but I just found out my vet is now under the thumb of private equity: https://privateequityvet.org/vet-list/

I am not sure when my vet sold out, but it’s disappointing and I’m looking for a new vet.

Please throw out your recommendations in MoCo and I will check to see if they are independent: https://independentvet.com/

I need a vet who is good with cats and not exorbitantly priced. I am willing to pay fair prices but am not interested in making a private equit

Hi all,

Looking for electrician recs to install a new breaker and a dedicated power line. Definitely want someone honest and qualified. I will likely get multiple quotes, so thrown em out!

For anyone who has done a similar project, how much did you pay?

Is anyone else having issues with the 495 north ezpass extension?

The right lane merges onto the non-toll lanes but gets backed up. People now ride the left lane (which is an exit for the George Washington parkway I think) and cut over at the last second. Creating more delays.

I have sat in this mess twice while jerks cut over at the last second, and the non-toll roads are usually moving faster. Why should we have to pay toll money for that?

I am considering getting off the toll road at Tyson’s and merging onto non-toll lanes in the future.

Anyone else notice this?

I am looking for recommendations for carrot cake is Moco!

I have tried the carrot cake at Classic Bakery in Gaithersburg and found it was not “spicy” enough. It was a more mellow carrot cake.

I enjoyed the carrot cake at Chateau de Rockville, but it is not offered consistently.

Any other recommendations?

Is there a lot of street parking available in DC on Christmas Day?

I read that metered street parking is free, but was curious if it was hard to find an open spot. I am looking at the penn quarter, metro center, DuPont circle, and Tenleytown areas.

Any other tips are appreciated - I normally metro into the city. Thank you.

I am looking for washable merino wool blazers for women. Anyone have any suggestions or favorite brands? Quince has merino wool blazers, but are dry clean only. I have been searching and have come up empty.

Also on the hunt for washable merino wool button downs for women. I own a bunch by Pendleton (not board shirts - the discontinued one-pocket button down tunic shirts). I love Pendleton but I am looking for solid colors as they have mostly plaid and patterns.

Any suggestions are appreciated! Thank you

I purchased my condo nearly a decade ago. At closing, the sellers mentioned their previous (and longtime) tenant had passed away from cancer and they decided to sell rather than find a new tenant. The condo has been great, but I keep getting legal mail for the deceased…pretty regularly for a decade. It varies from letters, thick packets, and I have even had folks show up to serve papers in person. The mail is being sent from courts and legal offices.

After a public case search (both state and federal), it appears the deceased had some businesses go south and was fined by regulatory agencies. I am assuming people are still attempting to recoup losses? Honestly, knowing he passed away

It has been gone for a few weeks and I am a worried it has been discontinued. The space and price tags are gone.

I haven’t been able to grab a staff member to ask due to thanksgiving prep chaos.

I have been reading Julia Quinn novels that don’t belong to the Bridgerton series and I have noticed Bridgerton characters popping up left and right.

For example, in ‘How to Marry a Marquis’ - which is a fun read, >! Lady Danbury plays a huge role and is an utter delight. If you love Lady Danbury, you have to read that book. !< I would love this story arc to be incorporated into the show in some way.

Any thoughts on this? Are there any related Bridgerton story arcs in Julia’s other books that might fit well into the show as a side plot?
