We bought our house 4 years ago and it had this mantle piece. It's finished by burning like some other wood in our house, I think it's called Shou sugi ban.
It has always faintly smelled slightly pungent/sweet/waxy. When walking passed it you get a whiff. The last few days it's been very humid and it's been smelling even more than usual and it's a little annoying when sitting close to it.
The bottom is ashy from the burning but the top/sides are smooth like they were finished with something.
The wood itself seems like it's very old, probably it was in the original house dating over 100 years ago (there's old steel embedded in the wood).
Does anyone know what
Thinking of picking one of these up, housefresh review is good, just wanted to check if anyone has any opinions on this?
I don't like noise at night when I'm sleeping, the purifier will likely be quite close to me, maybe 5ft.
I'm looking for a purifier (for pm) that gets really quiet, but also without it becoming essentially useless.
So far I've been considering winix t810 (meant to be pretty good at its quietest setting), and AirFanta 3Pro (meant to be really good at all settings, and apparently can get really quiet).
Can anyone confirm that these really can get "that" quiet, that a light sleeper will sleep with one a few feet away?
And is there any models I haven't mentioned that I should check out?
Thanks.
I'm looking for a good air purifier for my room at night. Most important thing is for it to have a really low setting that's very quiet. Mostly for pollen in summer and pm 2.5/10 in winter (gets slightly bad here when everyone is burning wood/coal).
I understand they always make some noise, but wondering what are the best quiet ones?
Firstly I am not well educated on the whole conflict and do not have strong opinions other than I wish that ordinary people would not have to go through this hardship. But I something that Sam very often repeats about this conflict does bother me. I want to know am I missing something.
The thought experiment is essential if we reversed the power disparity, if palestine/hamas had the same military capabilities as Israel, and Israel were to have the same capabilities as Palestine, then it's quite obvious that Palestine/Hamas would pretty much wipe the Israelis off the map. In fact they even say this.
I'm in agreement with this, it seems reasonable. But it misses something that I feel is miss
I'm in Peru and seriously, coca is amazing. I genuinely believe if it wasn't for cocaine this stuff could nearly be as widespread as tobacco and coffee.
The tea is alright but very weak, similar strength to a black tea.
But chewing it with a base (like sodium bicarbonate) is much different. While I wouldn't say it's a lot stronger than coffee, it's affects are different all in good ways.
The energy it gives you is much "cleaner", less jumpy with heart racing etc. There's no noticeable comedown even after using it all day. You can redose and redose with no diminishing effects. It lasts at most 3 hours so sleep is fine. And most of all it produces a happy sense of wellbeing, not strong e
We are travelling to Peru to my wife's parents so they can visit our 7 month old daughter. Unfortunately I messed up when purchasing the tickets a few months back and for my daughter put my wife's surname down for instead of my own.
On her passport and Irish birth cert she only has my surname, although she is registered in the Peruvian embassy here with both surnames (so a second peruvian birth cert with both surnames).
Unfortunately we booked through gotogate and they either can't or won't make the change. The airliner says it can be changed but that gotogate have to request it, but after days of back and forth it seems for whatever reason this is not going to happen.
The flights cost us
Excited to finally be off this stuff. Have taken it for about 4 years, at first taking diazepam then when that got cut off bought diclazepam and then bromazolam which skyrocketed my tolerance.
It's been a rough 7 months to say the least, but am very excited to finally take my last pill. Absolutely crazy to think I have literally not gone a day in about 4 years without taking some form of a benzo.
I know it could get rough yet, but the last few drops since 6mg have been a lot easier than before that. Honestly, severely dry eyes are my worst symptom right now, which compared to my other symptoms is a breeze.
Has anyone experienced this?
I have gone from bromazolam roughly 80 mg diazepam equivalent for a few years to 2 mg diazepam. Plenty of rough patches but I'm here and happy to be here.
I have had a whole host of withdrawal symptoms during my taper, most of the normal ones, anxiety, insomnia etc.
What is weird is since dropping to 5 mg (then 4 then 2 mg every two weeks) I have had almost none of the other symptoms, but have had a new one, dry eyes.
It is not nearly as bad as the other's. Lack of sleep is dire, anxiety is horrible etc. But it's still very annoying. It peaks when I sleep. When I wake up during the night my eyes are so dry that blinking hurts. I use an eye drop and it give
I can go sometimes three weeks, sometimes less, and then I end up drinking again. Like I did yesterday evening. I have so much regret. I am going to a meeting weekly, but it just doesn't seem to be working.
I'm kind of out of ideas, anyone have any advice? I want off, I hate this, but give it a few weeks and it's seemingly inevitable I will drink again.
