Hello! I have seen some similar posts but none that answer my specific question.

My engagement ring is made of white gold with a pretty thin band. I was young and had no one to tell me how to care for jewelry, and accidentally wore it in a chlorine pool a couple times soon after I received it.

about six months later a small (tiny accent type) diamond fell out, so we took it to get repaired. The jeweler said it was due to chlorine damage, we got it fixed and went on our way.

a year later (this past thanksgiving), the band broke right in the middle. We just took it to get it replaced and they said I should not wear it at all anymore.

my question is this: can I truly *never* wear

TLDR: transferring coordinates from blender to Smithsonian Voyager

Hello!
I am brand new to 3D. I have started learning about it for a project in my college internship.

My project is reconstructing an archaeological site, and using Smithsonian Voyager's 'annotation' option to precisely reference where certain artifacts were found.

My method thus far has been inputting the model into blender, adding spheres to mark the coordinates from the archaeological site, parenting the model over the spheres, centering the model as best I could at world origin, then pulling the new sphere coordinates and inputting them into Voyager.

It has worked.. decently? But the annotations are always not quite

Hello! I am very new to the 3D world, and am working on a project that involves both blender and Smithsonian Voyager. I was wondering if there is anyone who has done work with both platforms that would be willing to provide some insight into how to fix the issues I am having.

The problem is basically that I am using blender to create a 3D model, and also to get reference coordinates that I later code into Voyager as markers for annotations. But when I use the coordinates given to me by blender, they are always an inch or two off when I input them into Voyager.

Any insight is appreciated!

Blender and Smithsonian Voyager

Questions & Discussion

Hello! I know this is a long shot, but i am working on a project that involves Blender and Smithsonian voyager. I am very new to all things 3D and was wondering if anyone had ample experience with both platforms and could provide some insight?

Thank you!

r/dysautonomia•

hello! I have a looong history of dysautonomia, and am currently on metoprolol and midodrine.

A few months ago, my cardiologist had me start drinking a lot more water, and she told me to up my salt intake- with a goal of 8-10 grams of salt a day with 5 liters of water a day. for context, im a 23 year old woman - 5’4”, 160 pounds. I regularly exercise as much as a can with my condition.

I had labs done, and my LDL cholesterol is slightly elevated. I know it’s not a huge deal, but im worried that my consistent salt intake will harm me in another way by increasing my cholesterol.

has anyone else dealt with this? my doctor recommends “lifestyle changes” but I don’t know what I can do reall

r/dysautonomia•

hello all! I have suffered from dysautonomia for many years, and my cardiologist thinks it’s VVS, and wants me to try flurdrocortisone. my concern is that i’m 2 weeks away from my wedding, and I’m very concerned that ill bloat out of my wedding dress, or have a major acne breakout. I know this seems vain after all I’ve been through to get diagnosed, but i’ve spent so much money on this wedding I don’t want to mess it up! do any women have experience taking this for VVS/general dysautonomia and do you remember what the first two weeks were like?

TLDR: women’s experiences on fludrocortisone?

for context, I am a woman in my 20s with considerable restaurant experience in all types, but am specialized in resort work.

I recently moved across the country to be back in my hometown, and got hired at a local resort to help them open a new outlet as a supervisor. no one else that works here has expertise in the type of outlet we are opening.

I was hired under the pretense that since I have a lot of experience in this specific type of outlet, my input and ideas were not only welcomed but needed. the outlet is still under construction and the open date has been pushed back 4 times since i’ve started, and still won’t open for another few weeks. I generally like the staff here, but all o
