Hi there! I'm usually just a lurker, and have been thankful that I've had such an easy pregnancy (compared to some of the horror stories I've heard from people and on this subreddit...) but I have a question about being induced.
I've been sitting at 1.5 cm/60% effaced for a while, currently 39+4. No contractions, nothing indicating this child is coming out without being forced, it seems.
So we set a date to evict her, and I'm now at a loss of what to take to the hospital/do while the pitocin is working its magic? We've had the hospital bag packed for a while but wasn't really for a "planned" visit, so to speak.

Ok so, at our appointment this last week, we got all the pamphlets for the genetic testing. We are both fairly healthy and at a good age for nothing too abnormal to occur in the pregnancy, BUT here's where it gets complicated.
My dad is adopted (and over 50...) so we are pretty certain his parents are passed away. It was a closed adoption anyways, so we may not get anything from them since they could deny is the opportunity for us to get any information on them.
So here's my question- is genetic testing possible for my dad (and doesn't cost a crap ton of money) if he got his blood drawn and had it sent to a lab? I don't want him to spend an arm and a leg, but we really would like to know
So, like the title says, we just announced to our friends on Facebook that we are having a child. I have an aunt in a different state that's very high and mighty about herself and religion, and sent a message to me that says:
"So, did you get married yet?"
No congratulations, no "I'm so happy for you guys", nothing. Just that awful question.
For the record, we were planning on getting married at some point. It was going to be in July next year, but that's now the time we are having our child. So we don't really have plans for marriage anymore.
TL:DR: my aunt is a bitch and sent us a message involving no happiness when we announced our pregnancy, but instead a question being an very horri
Like the title says,

-Quorra for a girl
Husband and I found out we are having a baby (yay!) and were brainstorming last night.
So like the title says, I'm thinking about transferring to SDSU, given I could get accepted and find a place and such. Is anyone a psychology major on this subreddit that would care to talk about the program as an undergrad at SDSU? or even other colleges in the area compared to it?
Like it states, I know someone that will probably be dead by next week. Not by a disease, or anything natural, but by their own hand. And I honestly can't blame this person for wanting to. I know the feeling of trying to kill yourself, and wanting to so badly that you try to.
I'm sorry it's vague, it's for their own privacy.
Thank you for listening.
As I'm going through this semester with how my life is, I'm learning that I need a break. Badly. I've seriously looked at academic bankruptcy for this semester, and just starting over after a semester off of being able to work for a while, and getting my s*** together.
Thoughts?
Being a psych major, it's hard to distinguish MPD from acting depending on your mood.
